Minecraft Server - Rules

Global Rules

General Rules
1.1 | Respect the staff.
1.2 | Do not impersonate staff.
1.3 | Be respectful and kind, we are a friendly and social community.
1.4 | Do not constantly complain or be negative about the game/server, we want to keep a positive atmosphere.

Chat Rules
2.1 | English only in global chat.
2.2 | Racism/Bullying/Hateful comments of any kind will not be tolerated.
2.3 | Do not spam the chat.
2.4 | Do not spam text in all capitals.
2.5 | Cursing is allowed as long as it is not being used as a personal attack.
2.6 | Do not advertise other servers/websites/gaming communities anywhere.
2.7 | Do not mention names or addresses of any other Minecraft server anywhere.

Gameplay Rules
3.1 | Do not use any form of hacked/illegal client.
3.2 | Do not use X-ray or any other form of cheat while playing here.
3.3 | A staff member may ask you to change your username if it is offensive or too similar to that of another player.
3.4 | Attempting ban evasion will only extend your punishment (Appeals can be made on our Forums).
3.5 | Do not exploit any bugs/glitches.
3.6 | If you find any kind of potential exploit please report it to staff immediately.
3.7 | Do not intentionally cause server lag.

Legal Mods
4.1 | Minimap Mods
4.2 | Optifine
4.3 | Texture Packs, provided they do not include X-ray features (which allow seeing through blocks).
4.4 | Single player mods that do not affect multiplayer gameplay.
4.5 | Cape Mods
4.6 | Brightness Mods
4.7 | Armor HUD to show durability
4.8 | Potion HUD
4.9 | Macro key binding is allowed, except when it's used to automate actions in minigames/PvP e.g: shift-clicking.
 

Illegal Mods

5.1 | Super jump mods
5.2 | Speed mods
5.3 | Movement+ or similar mods
5.4 | Use common sense; if a mod clearly provides an unfair advantage, do not use it.

Note: It would be impossible for us to list every possible mod in the lists above and keep it continually updated. If you want to use a specific mod that you feel is in a grey area between being legal / illegal, talk to an admin about it before using it and we will let you know our stance on that mod.

Server Specific Rules

Plot Rules

• Do not build lag machines to cause server lag.
• Construction of anything sexually suggestive is prohibited.
• If you give someone permission to build on your plot and they grief it, the problem is yours, we will not be able to do anything about it.

SMP Rules

• Our definition of griefing includes all modifications to ANY structure or blocks that is not your own and without consent in chat by the owner to modify it a certain way.
• Griefing of any structure built by the staff to serve the community (spawn area, rail system, recreational) is strictly prohibited, if you choose to grief it, you will be removed and/or have your “trusted status” taken away for a period of time.
• When we discover who was griefing (We have many advanced plugins at our disposal to ensure we catch you), you will have the items you stole removed from your inventory or structure as well as other items you might deem important.
• Theft is when one player takes any items / property of any other player illegally or without consent in chat by the owner. Log block will be the only valid evidence to determine theft and ownership. Any items found on the ground are up for grabs and belong to whoever picks them up.
• Attempting to glitch onto the Nether roof or beyond our set world borders is prohibited!

SMP - PVP / Mob Arena Rules

• Purposefully disconnecting or server swapping to avoid being defeated is considered bad conduct and will be punished.
• The use of action macro key binding such as shift=click or any other similar means to give an unfair advantage is considered bad conduct and will be punished.
