Was Kicked for no reason by Dippy.

Pretty shameful for a Mod to abuse his powers like this. Frustrating to see that I was kicked for NO REASON AT ALL. I was 'apparently' banned for using One Man Hop, which is totally uncalled for since, in fact, I was lagging terribly. I might give the Mod some benefit of the doubt since he might have mistook my lagging graphics as some random hack, but I would like my ban to be removed as soon as possible. 

Please play the game with the right spirit, and ban players who really are perpetually indulging in hacking. IMHO it is very well known who hacks and who doesn't. With all due respect I'd request the Mods to have a look at this and take appropriate action as I have always played fair.

You were kicked because of a shared serial, not because you cheated. Someone else did a wall hop and all the folks using the same serial were banned also as a result of it.

I'll let dippy explain himself here but it's nothing but a misunderstanding on both sides. You're allowed to play now.

Bluesocks - the player who was originally banned on a shared serial - coincidentally tried to join the server minutes before you did and was caught by the ban. So when I saw you getting caught by the ban a minute later, I assumed it was a poor attempt at a ban evasion. Usually I would have done some deeper digging, but didn't in this case for that reason.

I unbanned you anyway, because I'd always considered you a fair player and decided a week long ban was enough for a one man wall hop (if indeed it was you who was banned). I took your attitude thereafter to be showing no remorse (you chose not to respond to me at first), so reinstated it. In hindsight, I can understand your frustration and comments at the time.

In future, it's best to communicate with mods via PM, rather than making a spectacle of it for the whole server to witness. I took your approach and comments to be confrontational and while I can understand why, it didn't help the situation. For example, a number of players will insist on having the conversation in all chat to gain support and turn players against us - perhaps not your intention, but it happens a lot. If I'd sensed a genuine confusion from you, I'd perhaps have looked deeper. However it appeared as though you simply disagreed with your ban reason (which is reflected in your accusation of mod abuse), at which point I automatically side with our mod team.

I accept I could have dug deeper to avoid the confusion, so my apologies for that.

Sorry guys, I placed the ban on Bluesocks. Shared serials can cause all sorts of problems.

There's no way "lagging graphics" or any kind of lag equals a one-man wall hop.  You're either jumping by yourself against the wall intentionally trying to lag yourself over, or you're using the glitch to easily make it over, or a mix of the two.

Had you simply talked with dippy instead of going on a self-righteous rant things could've been cleared up without all the histrionics.  Hardly "no reason at all".

Personally I'm also bothered by your assertion that it's very well known who hacks and who doesn't when it's coming from a person who can't make a clear distinction between lag (network latency) and lagging graphics (framerate).  But, please, if you have serious suspicions about players bring them to a mod's attention.  We are not going to address every instance of "hacker" and "cheater" that gets spewed in All-chat, but we will look into those brought directly to our attention.

Also, it's quite easy to say "everyone" knows who hacks, that's just crowd wisdom.  We have have/had many Moderators with a wide range of skill and in-depth knowledge of the game and we as players have no more interest in playing with people who are cheating than anyone else.  So unless all we mods (past/present/future) are in a conspiracy of silence to protect our hacker friends/members, I can assure you we're doing all we can to protect fair play.
