We used to do this all the time back in the day on the RxD servers. If we knew Nod was about to do a Stank rush, we would buy 3-4 humvees and load them up with remotes in the front.

Soon as the AGT alerted us to them rushing, we would all kamikaze our humvees into the stanks.. We probably are the reason there is a term "flaming vehicles".. lol

You can timed/remote/mine the vehicles...as long as you aren't trying to kill people/vehicles/buildings with it. Defense is fine, when you go offensive you're turning it into a kamikaze.

Just to clarify... This means you're allowed to mine the rear of the harvester to prevent harv walking, right? Because it's a defensive measure? Me and Vador threw quite a hissy fit over that a while ago, him saying it's flaming and all.

when I first started playing PVP Renegade I thought flaming vehicles had something to do with the character you were while driving, so I never used Flamethrower inf on Nod LOL

There isnt really an argument against mining the back of harv imo. Thats not a flaming veh. Flaming veh comes from throwing timed c4 on an apc (generally speaking) and driving it into vehicles blowing them all up because timed c4 will be constantly going off. Thus the vehicle appears to be "flaming" as its driving. There isnt any sort of tatical skill involved and its just an abuse of proximity to a pt and your vehicle. Also you can get multiple veh kills with this. Really does make for an annoying game. A one time explosion is not what this term refers to. I specifically recall someone named "xil" doing this often back in the day.

Anyone remember the 6 hour under game which got finished by a damage-hacking APC that drove in and killed all tanks and AGT in 3 seconds? That was a very effective way to clear up the entrance!
