Game problem

when i try to click on the launcher it just says "failed to start renegade"
trying to connect through renlist doesnt work either ill click connect/join server etc but nothing happens

What .exe did you use for renlist, game2 or renegade?

make sure u run Renlist and/or game.exe game2.exe as admin

reboot and then run as admin.

or try reinstalling tt patch.

currently it says renegade.exe for some reason my only options are selling the launcher thats how i usually just click to start the game and renegade or game.exe game2.exe isnt there

no last update was whenever that patch updated

unstalled ren and the ttpatch and restalled both

ok do this, make a copy of Renegade.exe. Now rightclick the new Renegade.exe and go to properties. On the target line ADD this: 

+connect 208.115.205.106:5001 +NetPlayerName He4dSh0t

then click on save and double click the new Renegade.exe

If you reinstalled the game and scripts, it kind of sounds like the anti-virus may be deleting them. Check the renegade folder and see if any of the exe's are there. Game.exe, game2.exe, Renegade.exe, or UAC Launcher.exe.

yep my brother thought he was helping me so he downloaded norton and norton deleted game2.exe

I've actually had the same problem since the last TT patch. I cannot direct connect any longer. Have to open the game normally and connecting through the server listing.

Going to try some of the suggestions here when I get a bit more time.

What happened to Nortons?

I have all of my exe's with no issue but everytime I try to direct connect it just says "Joining Game" and then a few moments later "Connection to Server Broken. Please Quit".

Never did this until the latest TT update.

Shai changed the server port from 5000 to 5001 if I Rember correctly. So check that your using the right port.
