Mars sucks unless GDI teamplays, but I'm indifferent to it.

Niagra is fun - it takes me back to the old days. Love those TOW Humvees. They are fun to camp with.

Volcano Flying is dumb.

Pimp guns are. . . .weird.

Hourglass can DIAF. Such a boring map and I consider it worse than Under...

Hourglass... like the only map where mammys are very usefull or kinda OP aslong lighttanks dont drive beneath them and flip them over lol

Too bad it was the worst offending map for killing servers...

When it was in rotation it would never take off from 0 players, or when switching to that map, you'd lose 30% of the players at least

Mars is terrible and shouldn't exist. Niagra is nothing special, better play stock maps... and volcano_flying is just meh.

Plasma weapons and maps that allowed them are stupid.

Hourglass is fine.

I have to second this so much!

Mars is just awful, it doesn't bring anything to the table. 

Volcano_Flying is dismal, never lasts a long time and half the people haven't a clue what's going on!

Niagra is the best of the bad bunch mentioned! but still the trees are so annoying and I've lost count of the amount of times I've lost tanks to stupid trees fucking up the aim.


I'd suggest just having more of the stock-ish kinda of maps or consider adding things in like Siege? I like Tomb, and i like Bio but the rest are lacking so much!

Hourglass... One of the few maps i hate or love depending on what mood i'm in. One day I screw around all day and wish for nothing else but that map to be over, the other day I work my butt off to win and it becomes one of the most exciting maps of the game.

It's all about those side paths. Holding them means relatively little unless you plan a rush, but the 1v1 tank fights you get over there are a true test of skill. Nothing but a corridor with a few rocks to provide cover, with each entrance going slightly downhill. The corridors are not too long to be out of range with meds/lights but not too short for them to make an easy escape. The rocks are small, but numerous enough to be able to carefully maneuver between them. Timing your movements and shots, so you're reloaded exactly when your gun is positioned just right between it and the wall. You proceed to wiggle for a second to avoid that returning shell to continue to drive slowly back to safety in your base.  I'm not sure if it was intentional but so much thought could've been spent in designing these kinds of areas. If you can win 1v1 tank fights consistently in that area you can win them almost anywhere.

Now to get slightly more on-topic... Hourglass is one of those maps that requires teamplay to win, or even to be fun at all. It's the perfect map for the Jelly Mini AOW that still existed back in the day. A  lot of people that joined that server knew that teamplay was key and acted like it. Too bad we can barely experience that now anymore.

yeah Tomb is good

mars needs to go, low gravity is pretty cool but the map is not so good, tanks can't go through the really big tunnel which is kinda stupid and the map usually ends after the first tank rush from either side. what are the stats for !mars and !nomars?

I prefer tomb even more than Under and Field. No matter how much your base got wrecked, theres always another great chance to strike back. Same for Bio. I love these two maps.

 

If i would suggest a map, then it would be Deth_River.

tomb is terribly nod biased though, orite map though

remove mars and niagra, put 2 other shit fanmaps in and just rotate them every month

volcano flying is just a bad idea

What i hate the most about the rotation is that we have c&c_field and c&c_under twice in the rotation.

Also one is timed and other is mara.

The reason why theres two maps twice in the rotation is because Field_RxD & Under_RxD are fanmaps while Field and Under are the original. One being timed and the other not being timed provides the rotations balance. 

I personally love marathon games even though people talk so much shit about under and field. I still see them there playing. ;)

We talked about Volcano at the end of December. There are 195 maps total, removing 0,1,2 players that leaves 146 maps(I always take out 0,1,2 player maps). There are 2 skipped maps, that means 1.37% of volcano flying maps get skipped. Out of the 144 maps(after removing 2 skipped) that is: 3-9 players = 70 maps. 10-19 players = 45 maps. 20+ players = 29 maps. Those are some good player counts in my book. :/
