Jerad2142 Posted November 11, 2017 Posted November 11, 2017 As you may know, Tiberium Technologies lost our original build server recently, and although we've managed to setup a new server for the 5.0 branches, the 4.x (Renegade) branch currently has not been. This is due to it still having windows XP support which makes it vastly more complex to setup. We were just wondering how many players still play Renegade with Windows XP?
WNxH3adSh00t Posted November 12, 2017 Posted November 12, 2017 Man I miss Win XP. I'm pretty sure most people run Windows 7 and above now just like myself. I know one or two that still use windows xp though.
dubstar Posted November 12, 2017 Posted November 12, 2017 may be 1 or 2 XP users still around but majority are win 7+ people are indirectly forced to upgrade nowadays... I was an avid XP user until all my favourite programs decided to update using the new architecture, even flash has trouble installing on XP now.
Jerad2142 Posted November 12, 2017 Author Posted November 12, 2017 I haven't used XP in a long time myself, I think my office used to use it when I got my job 5 years ago but they switched to 7 about a year in I think. After talking more with Jonwil this might not be so much an issue about playing Renegade on XP as it is programming Renegade on XP, but he still desires to know if there are people playing it on XP.

Guest rackz Posted November 13, 2017 Posted November 13, 2017 I miss win7. 3D studio max worked perfectly fine there.
Forithow Posted November 13, 2017 Posted November 13, 2017 I miss Windows 7 too. Windows 10 has given me way more problems and I hate Cortana
ehh Posted November 13, 2017 Posted November 13, 2017 windows 10 has being fine for me, ever since I upgraded, auto updating to w10 did piss me off for a while though
Guest rackz Posted November 13, 2017 Posted November 13, 2017 yea win10 is very fast, but has real problems when playing old games, i mean very old games. old games ftw!
bradyboy08 Posted November 13, 2017 Posted November 13, 2017 i don't have windows 10 but i have have heard alot of complaints that's why i don't want to upgrade.
Jerad2142 Posted November 13, 2017 Author Posted November 13, 2017 So what I'm hearing is that Renegade should only support Windows 10. 1

Blacky Posted November 14, 2017 Posted November 14, 2017 Yea XP was fine the way it was. It did everything I wanted. I knew where everything was and how everything worked. Then they had to fuck with it. Soon I will be forced to go to 10. Windows 10 does have cool useful stuff tho. Still not fan especially the new license agreement. 1
ice187dna Posted November 14, 2017 Posted November 14, 2017 I'm running Win95 and need help. It keeps boot-crashing on me all the time. Whatever shall I do????? Failure is not an option. It comes bundled with your Microsoft product. Programming is like sex, one mistake and you have to support it for the rest of your life. Computers make very fast, very accurate mistakes. If at first you don't succeed, call it version 1.0 No really I'm a Win10 girl \o/. 1

Not if I run away :v Since they're alike, I can always unplug it from the socket and her Hard Drive won't reproduce. I can always use Avast protection but to be fair who uses an antivirus in 2017 ;) Edited November 14, 2017 by WNxH3adSh00t
