Tank battles all day, it was glorious. :D Had some get mad at me over it, but the server had 0 people for quite awhile prior. As you noticed vehicle shells are on, limit is 15. Get out there and do some masses! I expect to see at least one orca/apache mass, Gozy. xD This Sunday, Nov 19th, I'll set it to the "mostly vanilla" settings we have used in the past(limited ammo too if possible). Would that be acceptable? 5

Seriously snipers have such an important role in Ren, not just screwing around in tuns but killing off techs/hotties repairing stuff and being a nuisance towards arties/mlrs. That's because they're open field and it's efficient to snipe techs/arts from far away. No snipers means a bunch of arts can shell the GDI entrance from far away without fear of getting severely punished. PICs don't shoot far enough to be efficient against them, neither are meds and even less mammies. MRLSs would be decent if not for the fact that they somehow die very, very quickly even when teched when there's enough arts around. It's also the type of game that gathers a large number of players, and stalemates are hard to break short of the classic "teched arts push". I've seen lots of Field games where 2-3 GDI snipers would take the end of the field right off the bat and destroy arts/techs before they can turn the corner. They can't shoot the snipers from that far, so they retreat and leave some more time for GDI to cross the field and get in range to establish a blocade. Worse : If Nod controls the tunnel, they can still sneak a rave up there to snipe the hotties. PICs lack the range to do the same when arts are pounding WF from the end of the field. On the other side, GDI won a lot of Mesa games. That's because the "teched arts push" is traditionally countered by mrls/meds/mammies rather than snipers because of the way the cavern is made. Snipers can't snipe techs there or get hurt badly by arts. The advantage here is that since the cavern is so cramped, arties have to expose themselves in order to shoot the WF/Bar, where GDI tanks can get good shots at them. GDI can however establish a solid "cavern" control and pound PP/air rather easily. As opposed to Field/Under, snipers just don't play a big role in this matchup except for the odd one on the bridge or on one of the sides. Same can be said about Canyon and complex, these maps are too cramped where the actual fighting takes place to have snipers shine against arts. GDI tanks can get a clear shot at them straight out of da WF. 1

Nod has always had 60+ % winrate on field and under, whilst gdi has the advantage on mesa. nod rekts complex too, stats for games going longer on complex would be cool though, most nod wins are nod getting control early and throttling gdi. You could always just remove the ramjet instead.

Removing them because they annoy you is a terrible reason to do it as well - if they're annoying you, combat them with snipers of your own and/or shell them. Arty whores annoy the shit out of me, but we're not removing arties....? 2

Yes, because cheating is associate with sniping. That doesn't justify removing snipers as a way to stop complaints.

You can handle it, just like you can handle this Sunday's "mostly vanilla" day. When was the lasttime for that, anyone remember? Who said anything about removing snipers totally? That isn't going to happen. Period. It gives you guys something to do, I'm not stupid. If you ever noticed I always do this on my days off so I can watch how things go and help the side I think will lose. Two maps that stood out where it was awesome to play were Glacier_Flying and Niagra. I'm keeping it that way on Niagra, it adds a whole other dynamic to the map. If I can get blacky or wd to change recon/TowHumvee prices, that'd be great. Or if someone could send me a leveledit that'll work on my win7(all the old ones/new 4.0-4.5 just crash on startup without an error dump), I could try an figure out objects editing for prices of them. 1

It is the gameplay preference of a lot of people and so it is annoying for those people to be forced into playing in a different way. Imagine the uproar if we removed a certain vehicle for a while? Your opinion that it makes the game better is completely subjective. Any one gameplay strategy can be singled out, scrutinised and called annoying / frustrating / overpowered. It's when you combine those gameplay styles that the game becomes balanced and interesting. Again - arty whores give me the complete shits. I can just envisage people at their computers, barely watching the game, holding down their mouse button. Thrilling. In fact we just finished a game of Under where two arties sat at the back of the Nod base, spamming the entrance. Annoying - so why aren't we removing them as well? It's definitely not the end of the world. It just defies logic.
