High Resolution Playerlist

Recommended Posts

Playing Renegade on high resolution makes the font of the playerlist very small. Here is a .TGA file wich makes the font bigger.

Installation: Put the file into Renegade/Data folder.

High_Resolution_Playerlist.rar

Screenys, first is original size, second picture shows the bigger font.

@rackz anyway you can make one a bit smaller than this one? This one is too big, but the original Renegade one is too small. Same font though as the original.

If you can, this is my resolution, idk if it helps 1536x864

gonna take a look at it again. simply "rescaling" doesnt work however. all those charmap generators didnt work in renegade. i used existing renegade files for this file for now.

yes please. I'm playing on 2560 x 1440 ultra wide 21:9 aspect ratio and the text is very small! even the reticle, I need to change that too lol

I finally found out how to rescale the font without getting distorted, i can only use specific sizes and only change the bitmaps´s width (dont change height). try this file/size now:

The font in your edited tga file is not exactly the same (only slightly different) as the original renegade font from font6x8.tga in always.dat

This is what I was gonna try if you knew which font it was

- resize the original font6x8.tga file to these dimensions

144x192, 192x256, 288x384

- use the box in the top left corner of each resized image to determine the font size to be used

- replace each character making sure that they are spaced out exactly the same width and height as the box in the corner

may be a good idea if you try this method with a windows font which has multiple sizes and is close to renegades font

I see where you got the font from now font12x16.tga in always.dat
