All I gotta say is if squads don't come back I will make every game for my opponents a living hell and I will do my best to dominate every god damn game with my clan mates and friends just to prove a damn point.

Limiting the player size wont fix the problem(5 was the lowest from last year because of all the pitchforks back then *looking at you mdogg*), the problem is it never turns off after X amount of maps in a row. It's not pretty on my mickey mouse fix, but it may work when its done. You've been doing enough of that with your squads mdogg, that's part of the reason why. *edit* They're on with 3 max atm. Can you guys disband the squad so you're only squadded for 2 maps in a row?
Iran Posted December 21, 2017 Posted December 21, 2017 I can write some custom code either as dragonade plugin or show what modification needs to be done to dragonade itself so the squads automatically disband on map end I think. Would that be okay with 5 squad size? Then what you would have: - Squad is formed with 5 players - Map ends, the squad is automatically disbanded - Team remix works.. so the players will be on different teams like normally - New squad can be created Would you feel about trying that out if possible?

Configurable until we can get a good setting. The three settings wd made work fine as they are(page one here).

I don't really see the issue with creating new squads every map, other that you won't be able to teamstack.

If it gets remixed you're not in a squad on Under. That's what people want is to be on the same team at the start of the next map for quick rushing. 1

You also have to realize that some of us like to play with our friends and by taking this away it makes it so much more difficult. If an old buddy of mine who plays renegade four a year comes online, then I want to play as much renegade with him/her as I can and the squad function makes that happen. It's also kind of annoying that you know it's just up to you when this stuff gets turned on and off. I talked to Manuel and he had no idea what was going on with squads, and he's an administrator. Shai, you know we all trust your judgement and we all appreciate all the hard work you do, but this is just one of those situations I can't let go lightly. I hope you find a resolution that benefits us all. Don't take any of this the wrong way cause you sound super pissed.

Hell, there's even a Ren Mod rule with this in it if you read between the lines on one of them. When squads or any other tool/bug/feature is screwing up server gameplay I will do whatever is necessary at the time to stop it. I'm looking at the over-all when it comes to that thing. It is team stacking, "legitimate", but stacking nonetheless.

I cannot see how being in a squad is team stacking when you are on the same team next map after team remixed and balanced. I had a discussion about this squad feature to one of my ol ren friends and he believes the squad should be disbanded after a certain amount of maps, and I agree

My way has a chance for things to go tits up if someone edits the .ini and doesn't edit the originals I'd be using elsewhere.

One of the cool parts of da is you can replace existing game features. Basically just copy pate da_squads in a plugin and make your changes. then replace the feature for the plugin. You could move all the players in the squad on map load to the wait list then delete all members. then they wont be on a squad until next game. Would have to try it out to see what it would break. Best way its to have them disband and create another squad like you said but more convenient for the play to automatically pick back up with the wait list. That's comical, because the games I've seen wrecked lately are 3-person squads. Going to try out Blacky's idea, that's great if it works. Blacky, Nur was always 20 here, set to 25 for some reason then last year 30. I set it to 60 in this topic on Nov 20. After a few weeks put it back to 30 due to my last post in here. It's 60 again by someone.
