Russian Invasion

Name: Karanda or something similiar to that

What they did: I asked them politely to speak English. First time they ignore me. I ask again (ignore the stretch. Best way to get someone's attention imo), then they rudely said no. I then mentioned rules and shiz, but then they continued to speak in Russian

I remember Skilz mentioning something about a "Speak English" only rule, yet It's not in /rules. I s i t o u t d a t e d ?

Naming the topic Russian Invasion, and calling the offender a "fgs", is not really the way to go about it. We do appreciate you bringing this to our attention however. Getting people to comply and type in English isn't easy most of the time. We don't have it listed as a rule, we don't want people getting riled up at players who aren't typing in English and would prefer our mods handle it. If anything I typed here is incorrect, I'm sure that Satomi or Shaitan wouldn't mind correcting me.

"fgs" meant "For Gods Sake" at the time.

This point still stands. Something even slightly more formal would be acceptable. I don't speak for everyone, but the title seems slightly extreme regarding the circumstances. Could have just called it something along the lines of "People breaking speak English rule".

Alright, my apologies.

Even though I ain't on terraria. Don't apologies. It can be assumed since he named it "Russian invasion", fgs = fags. Just handy and convenient it has an acronym at the same time. I find this post distasteful

Which is it?  If it isn't a rule, it should be imo.  It is our 1st rule in Minecraft.

If its any consolation, they're not trying to take over the world  First guy is asking where's the house, second guy says I dunno and says I thought you were not russian.. goes on and on

If they come back, you can type to them "govori po angliski" which translates to speak english in the imperative form. It might help :p

We regularly do use google translate to inform non-English speakers about the rule. It is indeed a rule.
