So as I understand it, in order to add in the bikes & TOW HumVees to the purchase terminals nice and proper, someone who can mod Renegade map files, would have to mod all the maps in the RenCorner server rotation that don't have bikes/TOW. I think I might look into it myself, although LevelEdit is a pain in the ass I hear.

Or there's the easier way, the command line thing people have mentioned? So a server moderator could create/allow a new command to be used, like !buy Recon Bike or something? is that how it works? i should make a poll; who wants recon bikes? I know cj does. Madeen does, satan does, most people here do. Ehh is the only one that doesn't. i think ehh is just scared of change.

Over modifying the server can just as easily detract from its appeal, if those OP hummers are on every map it would be the biggest bs ever, pretty sure we let it happen on Niagra because its a nice "relief" from classic Renegade maps, just to add some diversity to the game, but people like the core game as it is, otherwise everyone would play MPF, where everything is massively modded.

Just imagine field, you could run around in the hummers, deal massive damage to the arties, and due to mobility, never get hit, even on smaller maps when flamers rush your base? No worries get an OP hummer and light it up whilst using your insane mobility to stay well away from the flames, that thing also damages faster than a tech can heal.

I already said I didnt mind the recon its just the hummer which is a prob for me, I dont mind renegade with a slight “twist”, I dont mind modification just as long as it doesnt detract/trivialise other parts of the game. 

If that hummer was on every map its all Id use when defending as GDI(and games are stally enough as it is), the normal hummer wouldnt be bought anymore.  A least thats how I feel about it

@Vultima Ahh, I see. You really think that the rocket hummer is that good? Well, I suggest upping the price to $800. But keep the bike to $500; the bike is niche as it is. Or just fuck the hummer, and only put in the bike.

@Madeen Oh yah those maps are terrible aesthetically. It's like the map makers didn't even try, you got your cargo plane flying into walls to land at the airstrip, and no attention to detail was made, the tree line at map borders are horrible low res GFX, etc. Gameplay wise its still pretty fun. The Imperial Age maps are too much though, waaay too many crazy tanks, plus the bike they use is the crappier smaller beta model with hard to aim weapons. They always seem to wanna play that snow map with the tunnels that your orcas can fly thru, with the shore gun at the back of the base entrance. There's a narrow ridge that are only supposed to be traversable on foot. But I drove the bike on it, very carefully, all the way around the mountain, squished a guy lol.
