Seems reasonable but I'm sure there's going to be some problem with the notion.

I think wrecks should be less common or maybe limited to support vehicles. If every other med tank turns into a shell, it makes it a gamble to rush and end a map.

It'd be interesting to see nod rush with mammies and GDI rush with stanks/flame tanks. Was playing a game on Uphill where GDI was literally providing medium tanks to Nod because they don't kill the shells

The shell concept itself is pretty silly. Any shells make the game longer, not just the ones the admins in this server like using.

id love for no shells, but thats not happening

i'd rather have just med/light shells than them all giving shells

field mara used to be stupid, where nod would have 10 gdi apcs, limiting gdi's purchases

Plus im fairly sure this isn't a case of "admin decision" but rather, the other tanks in the games there is no models for as, unless blacky adds stuff in then modifies the plugin to be able to deal with these extra vehicles, hence the NOD APC having a standard pickup truck as its shell...

My immerssion is broken everytime I kill WF and a med roles out their base :facedesk2:, but heyho people like it hah

the problem is: the only one good GDI tank for rush leaves shell-its unfair.
you can make wreck health very low to prevent from repairing it and make higher vehicle limit.

Yeah but that whole !med  !light command just complicates the shell concept. I do agree a low vehicle limit hampers the shit out of a marathon game.

Eh, I think he made his point perfectly clear, hes making a comparison between things which break immersion...and what does/doesnt, thats not to say I agree with his point about the commands when you add gameplay in as a factor, it hurts gameplay too much for me, it breaks my soul when you manage to take WF in a 3 hour game but it makes no difference :(

Who cares about immersion, it's a 16 year old game anyway. But yeah, it's kinda pointless to kill barracks and WF for GDI because they'll just buy meds again and weapons, but for nod, if air and hon is dead, it hurts them because they need stealth, arties and flame tanks. Anyway back to shells, it's a good idea on paper to have wrecks for all vehicles, but I don't think it'll work that well for long games since I forgot about the whole vehicle limit

What do you guys think about removing Wrecks and putting Vehicle Limit to 30 again? It's been 7 months on, and you guys didn't really do MASSES much.

Yes, please. I don't mind the !tank command, but I dislike being able to buy weapons. I used to hope on some maps that we'd lose the Barracks or HON, so that people would actually buy a tank. Instead, they just buy a sniper rifle and continue to be useless.

So, you fixing a dead truck, and it turns into an armored personnel carrier? Right before your eyes? Like fucking magic? Kinda immersion breaking. Mind you the repair tools are kinda magic but hey, they got a backstory, reversed tiberium technology, pretty cool. 

So, you take out a war factory, but then you see tanks still around. Except, there ain't that many anymore, and they ain't coming from the war factory, because you killed it, it was epic, good job. These few new tanks are airlifted in. A helicopter comes in and drops it off after you buy it thru your purchase terminal, it's got a nice in game animation, representation. It's believable. 

So thats not immersion breaking, as it that's fairly realistic. But the truck thing is.

There. Did yah get all that? I SEE A MAN WHO'S BECOME TOO SOPHISTICATED, TOO ELEVATED, that he's lost touch with the down-to-earth laymen ways. Here CJ, have a beer.

wrecks of all tanks can make rencorner less boring, thats all. personally I always want mammy when im NOD and stank when im GDI. and im not the only one

nooo..... please don't totally remove wrecks and don't have them all turned on.

 

IMO buggy, hummer, artymrls, light, med, orca and apache getting shells fit perfectly into the rencorner mod, we have backpacks so why not shells for some vehicles? at bare minimum wreckages should be on for the vehicles in bold

Well if you're gonna have husks then might as well modify the plugins to have extra vehicles so that truck thing is fixed. I personally have never had a problem with husks.
