Discipile Posted August 22, 2018 Posted August 22, 2018 So, I was recording a video on Terraria and I accidentally both 1) Recorded at 240 fps instead of 60 and 2) Left my mic on in the background and it's picking up weird sounds that I didn't hear while recording. So I want to remove the audio from the video entirely. As said above I accidentally recorded at 240 fps, so that being said the file is 543 mb, meaning that www.audioremover.com doesn't work (has a cap of 500 mb). So anyone know how to remove audio from an mp4? Answers could be a trusted audio removing website, a free video editing software that doesn't try to steal your information.
Vultima Posted August 23, 2018 Posted August 23, 2018 Get video editing software like Sony Vegas and remove the audio track, you might be able to do it with the trail version
War0n Posted August 23, 2018 Posted August 23, 2018 Trials wont work for that. Always have caps x.x If you want, upload it to google drive or so and i'll get rid of it for you.
shaitan Posted August 23, 2018 Posted August 23, 2018 Youtubedownloader can strip audio from videos. If you get it your a/v may need an exclusion to install it(ads: my Eset hates it). I use it. Alternatively you can use Windows Movie Maker(strip audio or just SaveAs to compress the file for your program).
masscarriers Posted August 23, 2018 Posted August 23, 2018 The easiest might be with windows movie maker indeed, just load up the video, mute the sound and save the video in any format you want.

masscarriers Posted August 24, 2018 Posted August 24, 2018 Did you even read the message? It said : " Instead, try making movies with the Photos app that comes with Windows 10. The latest version of the Photos app includes the ability to create and edit videos with music, text, motion, filters, and 3D effects." Works perfectly. It took me less an a minute to upload a random video, remove all sound and export it.
Discipile Posted August 24, 2018 Author Posted August 24, 2018 Tried that too, I'll give it another go, not a single clue on how to do that nor did I know photos could even do that so maybe I did something wrong.
shaitan Posted August 24, 2018 Posted August 24, 2018 You can always try the installer I had from the lasttime. It may or may not work. A lot of these windows installers called their site for the download(worse that can happen it doesn't install), instead of being packed inside like we're used to. I downloaded this from microsoft in February. http://208.115.205.106/progs/wlsetup-all-WinMOVIEMAKER.exe Softonic has some it looks like("Windows Movie Maker 201216.4.3528.331" one is a dud, it tries to download from microsoft): https://en.softonic.com/downloads/windows-movie-maker Also, don't get the one from the first page of google(www.topwin-movie-maker.com) it's a scam site wanting people to "unlock" the free movie maker for $30(Cnet article).
Discipile Posted August 24, 2018 Author Posted August 24, 2018 I got it! I used masscarriers' method but all I really did was export the file at the highest quality it let me, it cut the size from 543mb to around 300, so I then took it to audioremover.com. Thanks for the help everyone above. https://youtu.be/ylJq0qsu_dw If you really want to check it out \o/
