Connection issue

Trying to get my son and I connected to RC but 1 connects fine and the other just hangs on login w the words “TDBERR”.

 

Any ideais?

That TDBERR is a Text Database Error, it happens when the strings.tdb file is corrupt or from an older version.

Delete that file altogether, Ren should boot up just fine and you shouldn't see this error again. Worst case scenario, reinstall the game.

Ok I didn’t find that file, it connects to all other servers fine but the RC Matathon. I’ll try again tomorrow. I can get in RC fine but he can’t.

Search for "strings" in the ttfs\files folder and delete them. See what happens when he joins & re-downloads(I don't see any strings in my pc other than there): C:\Users\YOURPC\AppData\Roaming\Renegade\Client\ttfs\files
