Guest rackz Posted October 12, 2018 Posted October 12, 2018 RENEGADE WITH KICKASS NETCODE! and a proper Zero Hour remake! :P
Itai795 Posted October 12, 2018 Posted October 12, 2018 Yeah, personally I had enough from EA. Won't be the first time to hype the C&C community with a new game and a new community-manager who seems to bring a new approach and whatever (TBH I have no complaints for these guys, it's just a job for them and it's fine, we just need to remember that). It can only end up with a 'decent' game (Generals, C&C3) or a big disappointment (everything else). Since it's a remastered, it might be decent C&C95 if they follow Westwood's game. For renegade, don't expect anything: I'm sure they are not interested in remastering this game, and even if they do it won't be better than RenX (which most of the people here hate). The only thing I give them a big credit for is the green-light for the fan games (openRA, RenX).
Forithow Posted October 12, 2018 Posted October 12, 2018 I'm keeping my expectations extremely low, because EA. The only thing I would like to hope is that Jim follows through how Westwood created their games.
XpZFuzzy Posted October 12, 2018 Posted October 12, 2018 Meh. I haven't been happy with EA since C&C4 regarding C&C games. Reminded me of Starcraft with movable bases... What broke my interest in C&C with EA was because they were in development with a new game which was scraped (friend was in alpha testing phase), looked like it had potential in bringing back the franchise. Then, THEN, they made a mobile game C&C Rivals that you had to nuke/ion the enemy twice to win. Lets not discuss the microtransations... Now, remastered C&Cs. So, my expectations are going to be extremely high. <rant over> Games I would like to see remastered: 7/17 Red Alert: The Aftermath/2/Yuri's Revenge C&C 3/Kane's Wrath C&C Generals/Zero Hour I have Command & Conquer: The Ultimate Collection on Origin. I played them all.
Vultima Posted October 12, 2018 Posted October 12, 2018 Well if its a remake and they keep the same logic, surely they can't screw it up, unless you gotta pay EA to use tanks xD NEW REN PLS NEW REN PLS NEW REN PLS NEW REN PLS
Guest rackz Posted October 12, 2018 Posted October 12, 2018 (edited) I want Renegade. But i guess it will be a Generals remake, because all other C&C´s already got community patches wich work on win10. Generals still sucks on win10, espicially if you try installing mods or just setting a higher resolution. Btw i just saw he said remake´s. if so then it could be renegade and zero hour or tiberian sun and RA2. Edited October 12, 2018 by rackz
ice187dna Posted October 12, 2018 Author Posted October 12, 2018 Yeah, I'm hoping that this will kick start the C&C Franchise again but in a positive way and this guy is getting feedback from players/general public about how they want the game developed. The players know best, and until EA actually listens to them, they are not going to get any positive comments about any new remakes. Let's hope it's a step in the right direction this time.........
Guest rackz Posted October 12, 2018 Posted October 12, 2018 (edited) If he´s going the right way then EA will fuck it up anyway. I have no hopes for a decent future CNC game. So im not hyped and glad, so i wont be disappointed in the future again. Edited October 12, 2018 by rackz
ehh Posted October 13, 2018 Posted October 13, 2018 i dont trust ea with anything new most likely gonna be tib sun/ra/1/2, they did post on openra. one of my wishes is for ZH online to be fixed tho ngl
Vandal33 Posted October 19, 2018 Posted October 19, 2018 I'm expecting tiberian dawn remake with crawler, and a red alert skirmish vs computers that forces you to be online all the time. Do you really think EA can make a "remaster" better than the original westwood game?
