Renlist Error

Hi guys, its been a long time. Been stressed a lot lately so i thought why not head back to Ren. I just installed it, scripts as well but just got this error whenever i try connecting to any server, tried using other nicks as well but it didnt work. Any thoughts?

go on settings and pick another .exe. the current one you picked trys to direct connect to a server.

 

pick game or game2.exe

First change the directory to either game.exe or game2.exe like rackz said, then set game.exe/game2.exe on properties to always run as administrator, when you do that, run renlist as administrator and try it again

Use something like this: C:\Program Files (x86)\Origin Games\Renegade\game.exe, may even be C:\Program Files x86\Westwood\Renegade\game.exe.

Right click and click run as admin too (the elevation part).

Check that you're using the latest scripts too: http://www.tiberiantechnologies.org/files/scripts-4.6.exe

Yeah I've had a similar problem trying to connect to renegade lately. Can anybody help me with this?

i just got a spare laptop so i thought before sheila can find out, i have to download it.

so the game loads up and whenever the green bar finishes loading just before entering the game, it get stuck and this msg pops up

I get this error message every now and then, usually during a game when there is too much happening on the screen at once (flame tanks etc)

it also used to completely lock my system forcing me to reboot the computer. Couldn't even load taskmanager to kill the process, now I use SuperF4 https://stefansundin.github.io/superf4/. whenever I get this error.

 

not sure what is causing the problem but restarting the game fixes it for me, you could try a fresh install of ren & scripts

If it happens only in MPF's server, you need to re-download the map. Search "Facility_D3" (or any map name that doesn't work) in your disk c. Then delete every file that shows up. When you re-join the game, it will automatically re-download the map and hopefully you will be able to play. That usually works for me when I get the same message.
