fratboy Posted June 14, 2019 Posted June 14, 2019 Does anyone use VPNs? I have a problem connecting to mIRC while VPN is running, is that a permissions issue?
Sean Posted June 14, 2019 Posted June 14, 2019 I believe as part of the irc security certain VPN's/proxies are blocked could be the issue. What VPN do you use? That way when an admin replies they'll be able to check for you.

shaitan Posted June 15, 2019 Posted June 15, 2019 (edited) That 'dns pool' isn't a ban. Try connecting to one of the direct IPs: /server 208.115.205.106 /server 144.217.10.189 Also, in the Status window, see if /dns irc.rencorner.co shows one of the Ips or something else(when the vpn is running for it). If you start it up, you can possibly get an idea of what's wrong by doing /debug @debug before connecting. It'll do a popup channel with some info. Edited August 29, 2023 by nameismud QA

Also, I had to remove mIRC from the exclude list in the VPN to try this. It broke my cracked mIRC, wouldn't let me use it without registering (had to reinstall).
