Being wrongfully kicked by "GetpastMe"

Hey all,

 

I was wrongfully kicked by mod "GetPastMe"on 7/16/2020. According to him and "Miyako", I was afk, which is untrue.
GetPastMe pm'd me multiple times (to the point where i considered it trolling/harassment). Each time i confirmed via pm that yes, i am indeed still in the game and not afk. But for some odd reason, I was kicked.

The server should "hire" people who actually want to maintain a healthy, enjoyable online community, and not keep moderators who abuse their powers to use it for trolling.
I messaged GetPastMe several times confirming I was still in the game and even asked him after i got back into the game why I was kicked, but i had not received an answer.
This is extremely childish behaviour. I'm sure there are volunteers out there who would legit like to keep the community enjoyable, but this mod isn't one of them.

Hardly any people play this game anymore, but for some reason, certain mods just need to be nazis about every tiny detail and favor some players over others when it comes to saying inappropriate comments in-game.

I apologize for kicking you in error!

I did pm you twice, maybe three times (I kick several players each day so it is hard to be sure if it was 2 or 3) but I don't believe that rises to the level of trolling.  We are required to pm players before kicking them at least once, preferably 2-3 times to avoid kicking people who are momentarily away.  I believe I followed standard procedure in this case also.

I do not recall receiving any pm back from you saying you were there.  I don't believe I have ever kicked someone who sent me a response back.  Checking the logs below I don''t see a chat message from you either saying you were there. The only reason I kick people at all is to try and keep the teams fairly matched.  After reviewing the logs which I am also posting (I can't read anything in yours for some reason) it seems like you were in-game, and I screwed up.

To my knowledge I never received an inquiry from you about why you were kicked.  Had I been aware you were asking, I would have told you in-game just as I am telling you know.  Nothing childish about being unaware you were asking.

The last point I would make is that I play a LOT of games, and I kick a LOT of people.  I try to do it conscientiously, and with the intent to provide as fair play as possible.  Am I perfect, no, I am not.  Do I make an honest attempt to do it right, yes, I think I do.  I don't think anything I have EVER done gives credibility to you calling me a "nazi".  That's a pretty strong allegation to make against anyone for temporarily kicking you from a game.  If you knew me at all you would know that not to be true.

So again, I screwed up here and I truly apologize.  You are a good player and I am always happy to see you on my team.  I am sure your team suffered as a result of you being kicked.  I hope you can accept my apology and I truly hope you are back in games soon.

I did pm you twice, maybe three times (I kick several players each day so it is hard to be sure if it was 2 or 3) but I don't believe that rises to the level of trolling.  We are required to pm players before kicking them at least once, preferably 2-3 times to avoid kicking people who are momentarily away.  I believe I followed standard procedure in this case also.

I do not recall receiving any pm back from you saying you were there.  I don't believe I have ever kicked someone who sent me a response back.  Checking the logs below I don''t see a chat message from you either saying you were there. The only reason I kick people at all is to try and keep the teams fairly matched.  After reviewing the logs which I am also posting (I can't read anything in yours for some reason) it seems like you were in-game, and I screwed up.

To my knowledge I never received an inquiry from you about why you were kicked.  Had I been aware you were asking, I would have told you in-game just as I am telling you know.  Nothing childish about being unaware you were asking.

The last point I would make is that I play a LOT of games, and I kick a LOT of people.  I try to do it conscientiously, and with the intent to provide as fair play as possible.  Am I perfect, no, I am not.  Do I make an honest attempt to do it right, yes, I think I do.  I don't think anything I have EVER done gives credibility to you calling me a "nazi".  That's a pretty strong allegation to make against anyone for temporarily kicking you from a game.  If you knew me at all you would know that not to be true.

So again, I screwed up here and I truly apologize.  You are a good player and I am always happy to see you on my team.  I am sure your team suffered as a result of you being kicked.  I hope you can accept my apology and I truly hope you are back in games soon.

I did pm you each time you asked if i was there, and I said yes. I even messaged all the players publicly (by pressing F2) and im guessing now it never went through?

I'm unsure why those messages werent delivered, but believe me, I did message multiple times. Im starting to think it's a technical issue. Am I muted on the server?

No, you are not on our current mute list.

Unfortunately the server does not log private messages (admins correct me if I am wrong about that) , so we don't have a way to review those right now.  But I am sure I did not receive any pm's from you, so for reasons unknown I never got them.  And I don't see a general chat message from you in the log I posted so I don't know what happened to your F2 messages.

In any case, I jumped the gun as I said.  Even without a response I should have taken a minute more to check and see what your player had been doing.  Had I done that I would have seen you were active and avoided the kick.
