Hourglass_flying is ok, but the sam sites are far too op and many people want to skip that map when it hits the rotation. Current Rotation: Field_RxD Islands Mesa [Volcano_RxD] Under_RxD Glacier_Flying Canyon Hourglass_Flying Complex Snow_RxD Islands_RxD SiegeDB Walls City_Flying Sand_RxD Field Uphill_RxD Under Land_Day Coast_Flying Hourglass Volcano Niagra Canyon_RxD Deth_River Walls_Flying IcebergV2_1 Tomb Edit: Please add map suggestions with your post, so I can create a poll based on the most popular ones. Here are mine: Dawn Raid BunkersTs Bio Fjord Mars ArcticRxd Cairo Mines Edit 2: Awhile back I was testing out maps and took some notes: Map Notes: Bridge – 1 vehicle entry point for both teams. Easy to ob-walk. AGT can reach too far making it impossible to whore buildings. GDI can whore on this map no problem. Would be playable if AGT reach was changed. Ruins – No defenses, fairly large map Medium-large to large Strip_mine – 1 way entry for both teams, nod has advantage on this map because AGT reach is shorter. Nod can whore, gdi cannot. River_raid – No defenses, snipers paradise. Small to medium sized map. Niagra – 2 vehicle entry point. Balanced, both teams can whore two buildings. Not too large so not much of a nod advantage. Gobi – infantry-based map, no defenses, small to medium, could be played. Sleep_hollow11 – vehicle/infantry, 1 vehicle entry point. Lots of entry points for infantry. Test again. Oasis_flying – 3 vehicle entry point both teams, medium leaning to large in size. Both teams can whore buildings. Land_day – server doesn’t automatically download it to your computer. Landday – small to medium sized map, 2 vehicle entry points, no agt/ob but does have turrets. Meadow – small to medium, 2 vehicle entry, defenses, 3 infantry entry points on nod, 2 on gdi (1 isn’t as useful). Tropics – medium to large map 3 vehicle entry points to gdi, 2 to nod. Prob nod side map due to size and many entry points. Arctic – snipe map, need skins could be fun Fjords – large map, 5 entry gates to gdi, 6 gdi turrets and an agt. GDI also has sewer tunnels that connect to base in 3 locations. Nod is not gated and has 4 turrets 2 entry ways. Bio – small to medium sized map, no agt/ob, 2 gdi turrets, 2 nod turrets. 2 vehicle entry points. 2 infanty points in nod, 2 infantry points in gdi. Balanced. Hell – dumb map, bldgs. all connected by tunnels, weapon drops everywhere. City2 – nod map, 2 vehicle entry points Nightclub – it’s like carnage club, good music. Heros_circuit – driving map, random cars City_flying_se – like city_flying but with more aircraft/infantry bridges. Humvees that shoot rockets, recons or apcs. Hovering mrls. Nod has 2 dif light tanks, a repair vehicle, and 2 dif apaches 2nd apache will blind you. Wallsevo -its walls but with a fuckload of tanks Haunted2- fun map, drops everywhere. Mars – large open map, no defenses/turrets. Vehicles/infantry allowed SkateparkV2 – large open map, lots of ramps and vehicles that drive fast. Hangmans_canyon – large map, prob nod sided. Backstab – small map, bases close together, glass wall separates base. Moonfield – just field with different background Moonunder – under with dif background lower gravity Mines – small map, medieval like, 2 entry points both teams C&C_Country_Meadow – server doesn’t load it Country_Meadow – server loads it, very large map, no defenses, 2 vehicle 1 tun entry, classic England look c&c_meadow – small map, 3 tun entry, 2 vehicle entry Ruins – very large map, no go, pyramids and weird bldgs Edited August 27, 2022 by nameismud More Info Required 6

Kingoberv Posted August 26, 2022 Posted August 26, 2022 A few of those non vanilla maps are pretty fun now that I've played them enough. But that hourglass flying map is basically an automatic skip from everyone's perspective. I think I've only ended up playing it like 2-3 times since coming back because every time it loads up people vote to skip it. The vanilla maps other then under still appear to be the most popular. Too bad there isn't a second type of islands map :(

YES, hourglass_flying always gets skipped so theres no point in it even being there, and niagra is so annoying to play. Somehow a worse stalemate then under and field.
InspectorGadget Posted August 26, 2022 Posted August 26, 2022 i agree yeah. hourglass flying gets skipped so often there is not really a point of keeping it in the rotation. niagra also doesn´t seem to be very popular and for me personally it´s a reason to leave. i also agree with muds replacement proposals, bunkers and dawn raid are way more fun than hourglass flying and niagra. bunkers can indeed be annoying if there is an imbalance of strong snipers in the teams, but when there is no such a thing it provides pretty interesting, action packed games imo.
shaitan Posted August 26, 2022 Posted August 26, 2022 You guys say that about hourglass_flying, but after removing maps played with 1&2 people(for a better count), 30 were skipped out of 129. So, don't say "always". Start asking people in the game what maps they like.

Also IcebergV3 is coming soon, it has VIS to help with FPS for potato computers, the lighting is a bit better, it has more tunnels, ice walkway in the middle and more ways to sneak into the bases, etc.), this will most likely be the final definite version. Here's some maps that I recommend: C&C_Valley.mix (It's similar to Bio, Tomb and Dawn Raid in terms of layout, and it looks nice) - Base defenses are included C&C_Greenery.mix (A favourite map of mine, it's a S shape map with tunnels going through, a somewhat balanced map) - No base defense C&C_GrandCanyon.mix (It's a beautiful and somewhat large looking map but there are some issues with it, like mammoths tank getting stuck in wf) - Base defenses are included C&C_Fjords (Fjords is another beautiful map, however it is very large, I wish there was a smaller version of this map with this much beauty :v) - Basically Cairo C&C_GlacierTS (I wish we have a Flying version of this...) - GlacerTS_Flying when C&C_HillBilly_Valley (A very fun map, it's like Field except way better, removes all that problem that Field has) - Base defenses are included C&C_Canyon_Fortress (This is basically Canyon, except there are base defenses, it'd be interesting to give it a try, see what people think - though I don't have a download for this map, can ask around for one) C&C_TobrukDB (or C&C_Tobruk, is a fun map, similar layout to Tomb/Bio etc, set in the seaside) - No base defense C&C_Dusk (Somewhat balanced map, I like it personally since it inspired me for Coast_Flying, not sure about others opinion on it though) - Base defenses are included C&C_Welcome_To_Detroit (Fun map, it's like a regular map that also has Carnage Club Xtreme inside it for those that keep requesting it lol) - Base defenses are included C&C_8_Mile (Brand new map by PwnCall, Also set in Detroit like Welcome To Detroit, smaller and also has a Carnage Club Xtreme in the map for those that keep requesting it) - Base defenses are included C&C_Tiberium_Redux (I like this one personally, quite a simple U shaped map with stuff in the middle) - No base defense C&C_Alpine (Fun map! I remember doing a massive Mammoth tank rush on that map, it was fun) - Base defenses are included C&C_TheCanyon (If you want another infantry map, here ya go, although it is best that it has a timer just like Sand!) - Only minor base defenses C&C_SeasideCanyon (A classic map) - Base defenses are included C&C_Secretbase (Medium sized map, a lot of people like this one) - I don't remember but I'll probably say that they're included Of course, some of these maps can be edited to become RxD maps if Blacky wants to, I might be able to get .lvl files for some of these Edited August 27, 2022 by Forithow 1 1
InspectorGadget Posted August 27, 2022 Posted August 27, 2022 i think we could bring back bio, i know nod is very strong there but it´s still a fun map to play imo. i´ve always liked it. in general i think the rotation could use more maps that have no base defences or at least no agt/obi. so if we get rid of hourglass flying and niagra and throw in a couple of maps that are rather fast paced and put them into the rotation in spots where it makes sense? i think there is a spot in the rotation where under, field and walls are very close together, i think there is one none campy map between those and also snow which is another rather campy map, at least when the server is populated is also very close. might be good to spread those campy maps a bit and put some fast-paced maps in there. can someone post the current rotation maybe, i´d like to take a look at it and make suggestions on how to improve it and i don´t know where to get it. 2

I have an idea, what if we all throw in ideas and map designs (you can even draw in MS Paint in like a birds-eye view of what the map would look like) and make our own custom map for Rencorner, like a community-made map EDIT: and I wouldn't mind making a non-base defense map Edited August 27, 2022 by Forithow 2

I didn't seem to get it definitive answer in game as to how this works out rotational. Was it some kind of change that happened or there are timed and un timed maps in rotation?

That's random luck and can sometimes happen. It's still set for 5 mara/2 aow.

InspectorGadget Posted August 28, 2022 Posted August 28, 2022 Walls City_Flying Sand_RxD Field Uphill_RxD Under Land_Day Coast_Flying Hourglass yeah i think this part of the rotation is what i meant, too many campy maps in a row, needs some volcano, complex type maps in between those imo. i think itai´s suggestion is pretty good, i´d spread out iceberg and field however. also something to debate would be if we make one under and one field mandatory aow which reduces too many boring 4 hour games, which are a pain in the ass for a lot of players atm i feel. 1
