Squads

Hi Folks,

I'm not going to debate it - but just state that I believe squads are simply a way to cheat. They massively distort team composition and make it pointless playing.

So whenever I see a game has a squad in it, I will leave.

Others may stay, but I hope they will also leave, so that those who cheat by team stacking, which is what squads allow, will finally learn its a crap thing to do.

They are absolutely cheap, in low player count matches. You know what else is cheap? Shooting tuns for an hour straight. You’d think you’d realize by now that winning/losing in the server doesn’t matter too much. It’s obviously nice to win, but losing is just part of it.

I don't mind having squads, but its starting to be annoying when I see ILL type ingame "this is 2 ez" every time he wins a match with his squad. He should challenge himself and not be in a squad all the time. His shit talking needs to stop too tbh.

ban ill from being able to be in squads. or make him mandatory to squad with matenone and rambo and them only.

 

on a serious note i don´t think squads are a major issue for the server atm. ill often is squading with me and my skill level really isn´t high enough to be someone who moves needles that strongly. and the team balance does put out unfair teams all the time regardless if there are squads or not, it´s not really good in general i think. btw do you guys have any data which players have the highest winrate by % or anything? would be really interesting who is doing well there.

I tried to add a script to the renbot that would log every 5 minutes the in game players and building destruction, but Shai says it's too much for the bot to handle and he lags already.

 

I do support nerfing a bit the squad mechanism. Currently, the squads disbands after 2 matches, but the squad members remain on the same team so they can form the squad again. How about forcing the Ren team balancer to spread the squad into different teams when the squad disbands?

1) jez you are too old for this, so what if you are playing against a squad? you just give up? what kind of solution is that? a cheat is something only 1 person uses....squads anyone can use which makes them 100% fair....make your own squad? dont just cry about it, that solves nothing, actually do something about it instead (....like making your own squad)

2) does it really matter if you are constantly losing to squads, who cares? i lose too....you are playing a video game, aren't you here to have fun with your friends?

3) talking smack is part of the internet, sports, everything really.....if it bothers you, likely the person doing it is not the problem but the other way around (and as a bonus potential solution.....beat them ingame instead of crying?)

4) 99% of the time good players cannot be bothered to play serious (think hitman...woj...etc), they just fuck around, UNLESS someone is talking shit, in which case then they will play serious and help the team, so actually...it's healthy....if they don't care, nobody talking smack, and they just fucking around....they are 0 help to the team

5) this game is already 99% dead, why kill it even more guys? people want to play with their friends (maybe the only thing thats fun), and squads are around since 2002..team stacking can be done silently and its the same thing

Maybe I don't know all there is about the bonuses to squads, but I'm pretty sure if your team communicates, you'll have a good chance of winning.
