Known issue, I have read in the forums.  Also read the solutions- deleting cache, etc.  No use.

Try opening the game and go to Skirmish/LAN mode, press F8 so you get the console up on the top left, and type "cleanup" without quotes and press enter. (This won't delete your TTFS files). Game may hang for a while. When it's done, quit the game and try to rejoin the server.

FORITHOW, after I entered the cleanup command in LAN mode, I am still getting the error when trying to enter the server.

The installer seems like a good idea, but I don't have TTFS file folder anywhere in Renegade, would you please be more specific where this installer should be saved?

Download the latest one, scripts 4.7, and point it to your Renegade folder (the one that has the Data folder in it [don't point it inside that data folder, just the Renegade folder itself], not the TTFS one), let it install, and then launch game.exe in your Renegade folder

The TTFS folder is in your C:\Users\YourPC\AppData\Roaming\Renegade\Client\ttfs  folder, that's where things get installed to (so server resources like maps, sounds, textures and models, which allows you to play maps locally on LAN except for certain maps that require server scripts)

 

If this STILL doesn't work, then try going to C:\Users\YourPC\AppData\Roaming\Renegade\Client\ttfs, where "YourPC" is your name, rename teh TTFS folder to ttfs1 or something, and then try to join to see if it auto-downloads after (but make sure you got your scripts first)

Furthermore, I think I played in your server a couple days ago. I think it was my first game back to Ren a few days ago.

Renaming tffs folder didnt work.  This is such a known issue- what else can we try?

I tried several solutions you can try, but at the end @shaitan solved it on the server side. Any chance the download server is offline again?

If I did play in the Rencorner server the other day then wouldnt the problem be server side?

Looking at the downloads log, you've started some downloads, but didn't finish them. Also, seen you downloading an older map pack.

Download the newest map copy from here: http://ovh.rencorner.co/maps/RCServer/marathon-ttfs_02-06-2023.zip

Go to your C:\Users\YourPC\AppData\Roaming\Renegade\Client  delete the \ttfs\ folder. Then unzip the .zip to there, it will make the ttfs folder with maps stuff.

I'm not seeing you banned anywhere that I can find...and you can download, so you aren't blocked from the server itself.

If that doesn't work, see what happens if you use a VPN to change your IP.

Dead you more like(just copy the full link and paste it, your browser may not do it(mine sometimes doesn't like links here)), that link is working. In the logs you're getting a 408 error, which seems to be your internet timing out. See if your antivirus is going crazy about it being a non-HTTPS link(if I can, I'll try and get that working).

You did play in rencorner as I spoken to you and saw you in game so what’s the issue ? Lol maybe delete everything and download Iran renegade installer then renlist also scripts and it should work ? Google Iran renegade installer

I'd try their ideas about reinstalling TT scripts.

On windows: Start(or Search) > RUN > paste in(then OK): C:\westwood\renegade\game.exe +multi +connect 144.217.255.44:5001 +netplayername "Gizbotvas"

Change the pathway to whatever yours is(default renegade is that one).

Back on jelly I had something like this on irc script that I just type a command to join the servers automatically does rencorner have this ?

if so what’s the script and which place to add it for mirc ? Thanks

This would work under Tools -> Scripts Editor -> 'Aliases' - just add this line to the bottom:

 /renegade run C:\westwood\renegade\game.exe +multi +connect 144.217.255.44:5001 +netplayername "UksFails"

Run /renegade in any channel window you're in (change nick as required :P).

IP JOIN did not work.

Failure to download required packages.

Everytime I try to join it looks like I am downloading something- then it stops and boots me.

I played in your server the 1st night I returned (last week) so I know I CAN join.  Question is, what changed server side?

I would love to play Renegade with you guys
