Kick starting the server at set times

As we all know, when a server has a certain player count, it starts filling up easier. As long as there's 0 or only 2-4 players on, then it won't really fill up.

Could we try to set a day / time at which we try to kick start the server by joining with at least 6-8 regular players at the same time? If we coordinate this, I think it would help to have at least some evenings with a lot of players.

I always say: dream big, start small so I'd suggest we try to do this one or two evenings per week to start with. Sunday and Wednesday sounds reasonable to me. I would suggest around 8 PM UK time if that's a time that could gather some people around this idea. If we get 6-8 players that join this "effort", then I think it would be sufficient already. I would set a time in my agenda for this.

Who's in for it?

I would have been game for this a few months ago, and for the last 2 years but now my schedule is too full. I will say that after playing that anniversary server it might be a good idea to just merge the ren servers into something like that.

Let's try it a first time tonight. I'll be there at 8 PM UK time, that is in a bit more than 4 hours from this post.

Sounds good. I can't commit to it every proposed day, but if we get 12 players, with at least 50% appearance, it will work. I'll try to join in on upcoming Wednesday.

Well, we had a full server tonight. Though I must say it already had 18 players in at 8 PM ;). So can't say this actually helped, but it sure didn't make it worse :-). We'll see Wednesday ;-). Also spread teh word, plz.

helps for sure if some folks are comitted and keep staying so the server doesn´t break, even if people have been playing already. i´ll try join at these times, too, but i can´t promise anything

We had 20+ players 10PM Europe time today

And I just realized UK time is 1 hour after euro.. Gozy please, it's either Europe or New York time, don't complicate things :(

yeah but only 3 players now, didn´t stay populated as long as yesterday

I just want to mention that it has been a lot of weeks that the server is busy on Monday and sometimes tuesday nights (Eastern america time) !!!

Yesterday again it was 30+ players. Very fun.

For myself, I am often busy doing other things in Wednesday... Will see!

So it's 9 PM Euro time = Brussels time, 8 PM UK time. Sorry, back in the days we always counted in UK time.
