Original Ren Server

would it be possible for an original ren server. Even one that has a password so we could get some competitive games going on occasion?

You mean like all original settings and maps?

so tank limit, no tank purchase queue, no dna?

Oh how I miss unloading 400 rounds into the harv to start maps to get money.  Only n00bs need $3/sec.

I've gotten MVP many times by sak shooting the GDI harv....

The community war server is now back up and running. I'm making it as pure as possible, but there are some choices to consider. PM'ed IpullHose about it.

Pass is comwar. It's up and running this weekend, we'll use it for the funwar Sunday. But be free to use it for other funwars as well. All change to one side (GDI or Nod) to switch to the next map if no moderator is online

Some information on the current configuration.

<RComm> Host: The map rotation includes:
<RComm> Host: [Under]  Complex  Islands  Field
<RComm> Host: Walls_Flying  Snow  Mesa  Canyon
<RComm> Host: Volcano  City_Flying  Walls  Tomb
<RComm> Host: Glacier_Flying  Islands  Volcano 

I realize there are 2 fanmaps in there. It might be refreshing ;-). I didn't add city for the moment.

Ped nuke is off.

Arty shake is disabled

Pointsfix is enabled. I assume this will be controversial but shooting the harv at game start for credits is really utter bullshit and gives an advantage to GDI (greater damage thus credits on the rifleman). We'll see how the majority reacts to this.

I'd like to test kill messages with someone as the config settings are not so clear on that. On the original Renegade you got less detailed kill messages than on the current server.

Under needs to be removed from rotation, it was never used for clanwars

Only possible thing to consider is taking credits down from $2.5/sec to $2.  But I'm honestly fine with it either way.

It kind of compensates the fact there are less credits due to points fix.
