I agree, comwar server and public server are exactly the same.  How about a public server vs comwar server match?  People who only play in the pub server can play on pub server team and only players who have participated in comwars on comwar team.  Best of 100?

You have to edit wwconfig in renegade Install folder. For hotkeys you need to browse MPF Forums (keys.cfg)

Lobby war recording! We lost Complex 3v3 but showed some solid defenses at times. We had no answer vs the mammies in the end.

thanks for posting the complex video. let's definitely take notes on a few things (nobody is perfect my self included) 

minute 2 i said gozy go with inspector and push. that didnt happened and both of you stalled 10 seconds.

shortly after gozys camera saw rambo hop out of apc and somehow inspector didnt see either and got remotes. also should have brought the tech back right after.

you guys did great killing the meds while it took me a minute to chase vultimas apc which he unforuntelty jumped middle with like 2 bars left.

you both should have had the apc dead though first. harv dropped when you both died. inspector prob could have  LCG instantly at front hand. gozy 2 mines in air strip before leavin and you bought engineer to check air terminal but both mines still on floor. also could have bought lcg instead of trying to run into ref  back door. though you did safe it you both could have probably took him out head on front door then got in no problem.

we did great defending med mammy beacon though also inspector no need to try and c4 him at the end there losing your tech..

i was pretty broke most of the game arty, tech arty lcg sbh tech arty.. but after we defused the beacon Gozy probably should have sent a Flame tank up the middle. my fault for not coaching that. we had small advantage. i dont think solo arty up middle was a good ideA

great games indeed definitely need to watch more of these! nice seeing after the chaos and seeing from a different perspective.

idk if gozy having the soldier siting in nod base was a good idea. should have kept an engineer to keep tempo pressure. the c4 you tossed on power didnt even blow either -_-

i think inspector is very quick to get a hotwire in games which is normally fine to have one mining but dont always default to it immediately pending circumstances especially cuz rambo got the 200 off so we definitely needed to defend quicker. maybe should have gotten 1 apc and 2 meds. i feel like you take awhile to sneak in and leave the team struggling. even to rush the second hotwire when gozys med had 100 hp and would could have just pushed as 3 since we were all close power side and we needed to gamble killing them and controlling their base. but again i need to coach that better.

this is also probably me knit picking considering the circumstances but gozy had no vision for 10+ seconds waiting to buy a med from inside. kind of giving up vision if a tech did rush or even if you peaked field side and bought med from outside bay you might have had that buggy since isnpector half called out a potential buggy.

but in general just not sitting with your face in the terminal during early game of volcano a super fast rush map.

think its just that laidback mindset that some people need to change. its about tempo and pressure map control.

yeah i definitely struggle to get rid of that laid back attitude that playing on the public server exclusively for decades gets you. i´m not a slow sneaker though, people don´t tend to mine a lot in these games so i try to be quick with my runs. don´t think gozy communicated he was so low on volcano or where he was, i should have repped him instead.

i also lack vision of what is happening in these games, i think crush knows exactly what´s happening and what we need to do to counter if someone gets 2 early motes off and i don´t. that´s why i often ask at the start of the game what the plan is, but plans also do change given what´s happening and i sometimes need someone to tell me what to do in these situations.

with the mammy beacon situation i was just worried that we couldn´t kill the mammy quick enough so i tried to mote him.

and yeah gozy got killed by his own timed in ref before blowing his motes :/

totally fine, im not mad or judging just over analyzing. i could definitely do better at leading as well. trying to get used it again. its tough to lead sometimes when im just gettting to know some of yall still. i dont like over command and be mean. and we always keep switching teams so its hard to get used to everyones styles. so sometimes i just let the games rock and do some call outs as things happen.

Some things are ab it easy to analyse afterwards :-). Like i knew i had to go with inspect but I thought crush had bought the arty, so I was waiting for inspect to buy his. But eventually it was already him waiting for me :-).

And sometimes we fuck up. like me with the timed :-p.

Anyway, having these analyzes make us better. I'm just not 100 % sure I can be "in" the game as much as crush. :-)

wasn´t mad either, this helps me. but like gozy i´m not sure if i ever get to the point of being 100% focused. feel like i´m too old for this shit lol.

 

and yeah you´ll always find mistakes afterwards and you´ll never be perfect, but it´s a very good way to improve to look at these things in retrospect and find where you can do better. maybe next time i´ll think of throwing motes at the infantry storming crushs arty instead of mindlessly repping him. don´t count on it though :P

Haha yeah everything is always easy to analyze after. Just trying to find some common trends to tips that can be changed. 
My favorite thing was always the group in the lobby talking about the matches for an hour and debriefing everything that happened.

its okay to not be invested after 20 years of renegade. We all took a break for like 8-10 years and i only just came back when XP said lobby wars are back.  I am just competitive and want to beat my friends like jonrambo or make sure annoying people like ILL lose cuz they dont respect other players 😉 

im terrible at video games i just like being competitive
