brookesxx Posted March 10, 2024 Posted March 10, 2024 After playing Ren again since last year (thanks Rencorner for keeping it alive!). I went through the credits to see the smart people that made the game and found Tom listed - multiplayer programmer. I contacted him to thank him for such a great game. He also kindly answered a few questions for me. If you are interested I posted here on the resurrected Ren Forums. https://www.renegadeforums.com/index.php?t=msg&th=41285&start=0& I could have asked so much but narrowed it down and got some unexpected nuggets. See you in-game! 4
Joetorp Posted March 10, 2024 Posted March 10, 2024 Thanks Brookes! I'll bet he was surprised to learn it is still around. How many video games are still around after 22 years?

How many video games are still around after 22 years? Obviously not a lot, but definitely there are video games that they are still played and maintained by their communities. I heard Doom (1993) still gets new mods, Transport Tycoon Deluxe (1995) keeps getting unofficial patches and content. Most if not all the other C&C games. It's not as uncommon as you might think. I am not surprised that the C&C games are still around, and Doom also. They were all good games.
