Mute player ?

Started playing online again recently. Was a great 2 weeks but I came across an insufferable ass of a player yesterday. Quick to insults and never participated in any rushes. 

He didnt contribute anything via the chat that helped in the 4 hour long game (I played 2.7 hr) on 4/21.

 

So, is there a way to outright mute a player? I dont like toxic people.

Client side I mean. Not requesting moderator action.

I dont want us to lose players as every one of us is important to populate a server. Id rather not post his nick

Hi. The game doesn't allow to mute "1-on-1" a player, but only to mute him from chat completely by a mod/admin/eric (lol). 

If the player continues to be an "insufferable ass", please bring it to us (can be in pm) because he might be to others too...

Yeah renegade had ingame some filter but its just obsolete because this section worked during WOL/XWIS era. Today 99% of players using renlist/renip/custom desktop shortcut/ingame gamespy because they lost their cdkeys or dont know how make official WOL/XWIS account and it require more clicks to join some game. Also WOL/XWIS accounts have some limitations like special chars in names, longest of name and 8 chars passwords.

If he´s an idiot he deserves a total mute. No need to kick/ban. They can still play.
