Nah. Earthbreakers is too different to replace Renegade. Renegade X hasn't replaced it either.

Its a title Ive been following for awhile now. I last heard it was put on hold as they were taken by a publisher to work on a shitty title that didnt succeed. No good news since.

True I heard the same. They stopped working on it a while ago

Even worse, I joined their Discord server to keep track of Earthbreakers progress. The only activity in the channel were old Renegade fans asking for updates and when the game would be released. From the developers there was radio silence. At some point they decided to remove the Earthbreakers channel from their Discord and replace it with some other games.

At this point I took the L and assumed they binned the project. It's still on my wishlist and maybe some day they'll start working on it.
