OB walk?

Ive forgotten a few things from when I played a decade ago. Is this clip OB walking? Taken today 10:28PM EST

I don't think so. You can pretty reliably do that. Lag is your main enemy. If you walk up to the little barrier thing and crouch the ob can't see you(crystal is its eyes) and stops charging. Then you can start moving again and make it to the minimum range zone before it zaps you.

Obelisk walking as far as I know refers to a bug where, for weird Renegade reasons, the Obelisk is hesitant to shoot you if you are walking backwards. Not sure if that bug still exists. SolidGold in this clip is running forward.

Here's a video clip of me reproducing what he did. I got stuck on the sandbag lol but was still close enough to the Obelisk's minimum range.

lol back in those days we used to back walk the ob holding the shift button and jumping backwards haha
