Server Suggestion

Hello,

I’m not sure exactly how the settings work so please feel free to enlighten me on it.

Since I’ve started playing more often of course I’ve noticed how some maps are AOW and some maps are Marathon. This isn’t new but I’ve paid more attention.

For me, and not for all, my favorite maps tend to be maps without base defenses. Islands, Complex, Canyon, Volcano, etc. I’ve noticed that I’ve been running into a lot of AOW games on these maps.

I wanted to make a suggestion and hear others out for conversation. In my opinion, these maps should never be AOW. With the current server settings (no tank shells, no buying tanks, no buying weapons as in the past) these games are all capable of ending at some point and should be run until completion. Personally, it’s a bit less enjoyable when Islands ends quickly and then I eventually get into a 5 hour Field match.

Now let’s take a map such as City for example. If both teams lose their Weapons/Strip and Bar/HON, it theoretically could be possible that this map just doesn’t end and lasts forever. Entry into the enemy base is close to none and even attempts at running to the Obelisk and crate drop tanks would fail undoubtably.

I want to propose a change. All base defenseless maps should run on Marathon settings. And maps with base defenses should more often run on AOW settings and would even be open to increasing the time to 2 hours per se. Maybe 1 marathon Field and 1 two hour field.

Just a suggestion. I’m not sure how the settings/rotation works exactly as I’ve said. But curious to thoughts. I assume it’s not randomized?

I think all maps should have 90 or 120 mins time limit

Not sure. But I keep running into my favorite maps having timers and I’m Sad.

Personally I think we should have ALL maps set to AOW with timer of 2 hours. Playing a map 3+ hours is boring asf and Idk how people enjoy that.

plus we dont have an alternative.

its mostly rencorner is the only server with players in it.

if we ever get bored of 5 hrs field, theres no other server we can join unlike 20 yrs ago we had dozens of populated servers just to choose from one.
