I was a mod at MPF until I had a fundamental disagreement with the administration there and quit.

5) On a scale of 1 to 10(1 being the least), how would you rate yourself on how much you know about IRC and BRenBot?

8, I have mIRC and set it up for my modding days at MPF, but it has been a min so I'm sure I'm a bit rusty. 

6) How long have you been playing Renegade?

Since I went to National Computer Camps as a teen, and I was 14 then, so ~21 years. 

7) Have you ever been banned on a server before? If so, why?

I have been banned from RC for a week but I was literally asking for it. I was trolling and being an ass. I apologize for that, but it was some time ago. 

8) If you caught someone cheating on the server, what would be your next step?

If the server supports it like MPF did, I'd follow them to gain evidence. Assuming evidence can be gathered, I'd kick for 24 hours  and then submit my justification to other RC mods/staff to discuss and verify that the kick was worthy, while discussing if a ban is required. 

9) Summarize in atleast 20 words why you'd be a great addition to the RenCorner staff.

I know I'm a pain sometimes, I don't deny it. My annoyingness comes from my strong moral compass to do what is right, and that can be a benefit to the mod role and RC community. I hope RC staff will consider this application seriously as RC seems to be the last great RG server and I would like to help protect it. Also, I want to ban @CAP (jk).

I haven't been staff there for probably 2 years now, so I can't say anything with confidence, but my impression is the place has been left to die on the side of the road. I believe the reason for this is an admin base there that is so hands off that they don't even know how to log in to the game they host; which kind of gets to the root of my disagreement with them.

Oh, I misunderstood the first question. Essentially, I've always been bothered by the fact that MPF admins never join to play the game that they host; yet they are comfortable making decisions that everyone just has to live with. It felt like a King-style ruling there. Now, one could argue that maybe that's fine, admins don't have to be in the game... they're there to administer, but that just feels wrong to me. It was my opinion they should be more active, I stated such and it turned into a back-and-forth argument behind closed doors. Ultimately, I said I disagreed with their management style and resigned. In hindsight, it was a pretty dumb fight to pick.

Respectfully, RC Admins and Staff, if my application is still under consideration, I would like to withdraw it as I do not wish to serve on the same staff as CAP. From my perspective, CAP is a self-absorbed liar, a child, who denigrates other players around him, and I do not wish to be a part of anything he is. He kicks other mods and puts people down to please himself. He is not about the community or the game, he is about himself only. Please take, for example, our unedited exchange today. 

I apologize for having wasted anyone's time, and I hope to be a valuable and positive member of the community still.

1. Stop it you two. If you can't stand each other, just ignore each other. It's a video game, not so hard to do so. And if the other person still speaks or pms you, guess what? Ignore.

2. cooldude, I think you should reconsider your withdrawal: Any help with moderating the game is much appreciated, and you will be able to ignore CAP ingame even if the two of you mod together. The only thing to keep in mind when mods disagree is to never act against a fellow mod's action, but to take it to a supervising staff member (temp mod -> half / full mod -> senior mod -> admin -> Shai -> stanislav), but I'm sure it wouldn't come to that as such incidents are very rare.

3. CAP age is not really a concern, we measure maturity over age. Thanks for letting us know, nevertheless.

You're right that I should ignore him, and that's on me. However, he's been taunting me repeatedly in-game, day after day, asking "what happened to your application" as if to position me lower than him. It's a reflection of him, yes, but it's also a reflection of RC staff if this is who you like to trust.

At my root, I would still like to be a mod and contribute here, but I cannot lie about how CAP just rubs me wrong, and he does it on purpose.

Dramas at RenCorner are popular thats reason why we have dramacorner.net domain also. Fact is RenCorner is biggest community which actually stayed for Renegade. Maybe we have already over 20+ moderators. Some of them are skilled, some take it Renegade as serious bussiness, some take care less, some are not avaiable, some abuse commands and some dont even know commands. Thats actual portfolio here and Im sure these issues are in every other communities.

I would say also there is active communication in a staff channel. Usually Im bitching moderators and making dramas but then comes shai and he show us his jail where he is working and everything is solved for a few days. Then comes cat and some moderators ban half of mod staff due spoofed serials and hwids. After that I need to comes and edit databases or cleaning tables. After I do my job will start bitching moderators and making dramas again. Usually Im jumping from window 3x per week. But in final words somehow its works and we are working together.

Looks like CAP is young and not enought skilled as a moderator. Maybe here comes your chance to start being part of team and learn him little bit.

Alright, that's a fair point.

I'll speak for the rest of the staff, hoping nobody is going to disagree. We see potential in CAP to become a valuable permanent staff member, But CAP, you have some road to go before that, and that's why you are in a regular temp-mod position. Generally speaking, being a cool-header person under these kinds of situations is probably the most important quality we are looking for mods.

That being said, every moderation help is appreciated, and the will to become a better mod by adjusting your behavior accordingly is even more appreciated. On the "other" hand, everyone is free to decide what's best for them, and how they want to spend their Renetime. We don't want our staff to burnout, or the process to become tiresome for them.
