Rewording of E-Fire Rule

Good_morning fellow renedudes,

Several gamers including myself have been misunderstanding the E-fire rule causing mods/other players to have to explain it during the game so I am proposing the rule be reworded.

The current rule reads: 1. Pic/Rail "in out shooting" is not allowed in combination with any vehicles when engaging against enemy ground vehicles, EXCEPT Buggy/Humvee/ APC/Chameleon/Recon/Tow-Humvee/Flying Vehicles.

This leads many to think that a player is only allowed to E-fire when shooting the listed vehicles. As I’ve learned this is not the intent of the rule. The intention of the rule is to list the vehicles that E-firers are allowed to E-fire from. I propose the rule be reworded to:

1. Pic/Rail “in/out shooting, aka E-firing” is only allowed when the pic/rail shooter is both 1) shooting at a ground vehicle AND 2) the shooter's own vehicle is a: Buggy, Humvee, Tow-Humvee, APC, Chameleon, Recon, or Flying Vehicle.

Missing the part allowed against flying vehicle if you remove "against ground vehicle"

You can E fire with a ram jet too. It will absolutely wreck an arty/mrls or whatever.

 

This is a terrible rule.  This is a huge component of actual high level renegade playing and the server has made it completely non existent.  

 

I can e fire with a gunner too.  I don't know why it's only banned with one infantry unit.  Hell let's just ban getting out of tanks in general.

Im not sure if efire rule is necessary or not but back in the no rule days a pic in med killed my stank like in a few seconds by efiring

I can understand why there is such a rule, its quite over powered

I mean there's also major downsides to getting a pic/med

 

It costs $1800 credits 

In theory, you can't repair yourself.  And you should run out of bullets in 32 shots.

 

But the server has these stupid weapon drops, DNA, and unlimited ammo which kinda fuck up the game balance.   But if you can E fire with a repair gun (repshoot), E fire with a ram jet, or a gunner.  Then you should be able to do it with a rav or Pic too.
