AprilWar Posted May 4 Posted May 4 (edited) Record mod abuse instances in the past few days, all of which deserve to be called out and exposed. Most of these are really just personal vendettas. Abusing sudden death poll to win Mod abuse by ExEric3, one of them started an iIlegal poll last night to unilaterally take advantage of sudden death while their team, composed by a few moderators, had the advantage at that specific time. No player in the enemy team was consulted and the poll was not initiated when conditions were fair to be winnable by either side. The moderator, in this case ExEric3, encouraged people to vote, which isn’t even normal after polls are initiated. Game could’ve easily gone either way and was not stalemated. Another player in their own team (modestRobert) also indicated the clear mod abuse. Video here. Rules state: 3. If you deem the map is too stale-mated or one-sided beyond repair, ask players if they want to !gameover or !poll suddendeath (Full Moderators and higher have access to !fds suddendeath). This is what initially triggered mods in the first place and they were personally vested to win the game. They didn’t like I joined the game and killed a building within my first 3 mins and left. P.d obvious TB at 16:07 btw, jet auto shoots me as the gun is turning. Moderator (MarcPoulet) on my team hints/leaks my strategy via PM to another fellow moderator (NLsRene) who is playing on the opposite team. Video here. So basically I had signaled my team to guard tunnels and rest would engi rush their ref. Afterwards, he pm’d NLsRene telling him: April logic: CAMP THE BASE AND RUSH AT THE SAME TIME Is it a big deal he shared that? Not really because it was vague enough, but it just goes to show the extent certain mods will go while i’m IG. To NLs’ credit he didn’t seem to care. Who knows if other instances like this have happened before, this one I found out because someone LMK. Trash rating 1/5 🗑️ ___________ Reckless disregard of facts I get a two-day ban for using !stuck, allegedly trying to one-man hop, when in reality I was hopping a GDI sbh in my team to ion ref and we got stuck at wall so had to !unstuck to keep sbh alive. The match was lost so this was a total non-issue which you decided to make bigger. Unfortunately, I didn’t have a recording of the incident, and I no longer stream because you still have a couple of active moderators who have been caught streamsniping while they play against me. Regardless, how sad that now I have to be recording 24/7 to justify my actions incl. this one, when you have admins who have never til this very date produced a legit recording when their suspicious gameplay is questioned. You can try hopping your way with someone at C&C Iceberg and eventually you will get stuck at wall, it is quite buggy. This happens at some walls in some HD maps too. Someone in the enemy team (not a mod) was recording and did not see the GDI sbh next to me and I had no way of proving my point because I was not recording. Even though, I explained myself as best as I could recount I still got temp banned supposedly because of “other things”. However, I decided not make it a bigger issue at the time. Trash rating 3/5 🗑️🗑️🗑️ ___________ Rage !mutes/!kicks & overt personal vendettas MPF died not because new games or people chose better servers, it was because moderators were abusers with personal vendettas against people and nobody wanted to play there anymore. You’re already heading right down that path and taking half of the decent admins/mods with you. DaDuKe, who apparently loves to talk trash behind my back 24/7 inserts himself into a conversation (which wasn’t really an argument) and baits into perma muting. He claims he got harassed when I told him that he was unimportant and that I was not talking to him. I initially called out ArcticPrism for camping tun ever since he joined. He never left his base but was camping tuns in a low-people count match, which is beyond lame. After I told him to get a life he was pretty chill but DaDuKe decided to wave his mod powers, as he casually loves and takes pride in. Here are the logs of what happened: He also lied about me insulting half the server, when the comments in that game and with the information he had available were only directed toward 1 or 2 people at the most. Daduke claims harassment but what about his harassment where every week without failing he brings up my name and even other moderators encourage his stupid jokes. I’ve previously asked the mods to stop that, but instead they even made a special sound to continue the mockery. How is that not considered harassment as well? Who in the mod team volunteers to pull all the logs where he’s bringing my name out in the public/team chat? Today, he starts calling me names ingame, such as ‘asshole’, etc. I requested additional admin/mod bc they were ingame to help just stop the harassment and he !kicks me. By his own standards he should mute himself. Also, not even a warning. Because of this history neglecting proper moderation and his personal vendetta against me, I’m kindly requesting some form of disciplinary action in addition to, once again, not wanting to hear him utter my name in chat. He repeatedly says “I’m fed up with that guy”, so I don’t trust he will improve in any way. Rules state: 5. Use the !warn command(over a kick) if you need to for unruly people. 12. Do not qkick, kick, ban, forcetc, forcett, mute(or any other command) to end an argument with a player if you had a part in it. EX: baiting someone and whipping out the !mute ingame. 19. Do not abuse ANY powers given to you, they are given to you to enforce the rules and permit fair gameplay throughout the servers, not for your own fun or enjoyment. The reason? a moderator lost a game to me when I was using another name to prevent people from team hampering me (as some usually do). For a while, this moderator insisted I went under map, but I didn’t. In other words, mod uses privilege to make it harder for someone to defeat him. You’re making player-specific rules. Last I checked, smurfing was never against the rules, if it is, make it apply to everyone equally. For days, Solid and Sauron kept raging claiming I cheated in that game, which is what triggered the anti-smurf script. This is the video of what really happened. I’d like to remind you started all of this by complaining for years without end, a decade at this point, about cheating and so on. I constantly get accused and people whine claiming I’m going over map, under map, outside of map, cheating or glitching. Sometimes mods even contribute. You always ignore those unfounded accusations and solely focus when I’m ‘whining’ or ‘abusing’. This was only in the course of 1 week or so, and all because these people cannot properly judge apart from their personal vendettas. I’m not even including other relatively recent stuff. Thankfully, there are still some common sense players out there and a few mods who see these issues as what they really are. I could not figure it out since there was no spy crate involved when I looked for one. It makes me wonder because I have in fact caught April doing a one man hop where he himself went over the wall and killed a GDI ref. I was a GDI SBH and so I was able to watch him without him knowing it. That was a long time ago though, 3-4 years it seems now. The only two other times I personally know of April cheating were coming over the mountain on that same map, and doing a one man hop on a different map. All a long time ago. That being said this is one of the most beautiful air kills I've ever seen. Master-class for sure. As much as I have bitched about haxors, cheaters and special skills, all of which I am still suspect about for a few players, 99% of the time April seems to be making great plays that me or other players could also make, on a GOOD DAY. As far as the mute goes, it seems to me that many mods and players are less and less tolerate of what I feel is typical bantering. ILL come to mind here as well. I don't like getting my ass kicked by these guys, but muting them for throwing what I think are harmless barbs/taunts seems a bit much. I grew up with 7 brothers, and was a cop for 30 years and got called all kinds of names by people who knew me not at all. So maybe I have a thicker skin than others. But just because you might be tired of what ILL or April says does not itself warrant a mute or a kick. There has to be some limit yes, but I am struggling to see it reached on what is presented here. I think the mods have been doing a great job in general. But we also have to keep our personal feelings out of decisions, and I am not sure that is 100% being done here. There are judgement calls to be made by the mods, and I support them being made at the time they are made, just like when being a cop on the street you should get the initial benefit of the doubt. But all such decisions should be subject to some review, and I post these comments to voice some doubt as to the need for these mutes. GPM/SolidGold 5

Over 90 mins u did nothing just walked into nod ref next to silo where isnt ramp. Then you rq and comes back later to hope we would be without credits. What you will tell us about your abusing !stuck command? I think thats for ban and not just mute. Oh I forgot what you will tell us about your leaked password for your game account? Smurf scripts are attached on people like you and few others and looks like its effective. Mainly with you when you tried evade your mute/kick/temp ban yesterday. MPF died? I just don't bother to argue, I just leave. A few months ago, Eric was doing often mod abuse against me, but lately that has stopped. The real offenders recently are DaDuke and NLSRene. Shai made up a word for it even and it's perfect...."mute baiting"....Basically, they argue with you, and then when you argue back, they mute or kick you. If everyone moderated like Shai or Manny, this topic wouldn't even be needed....But not everyone on the mod team is chill (few other mods are super chill though, like marc, solid, matrix, itai, etc etc.....its just a few bad apples who are not) Edited May 5 by ILL 2

Nickname scripts aren't for mute/ban evading, !mute and !kick alone help achieving that, plus I wasn't trying to evade mute/kick as you claim. Oh you mean my totally accidental leaked password where I already admitted it was my bad? how is that a bannable offense? Do you guys even realize that you're arguing damned if stream everything but also damned if I don't. You're a fucking awesome player, people love your gameplay and videos and I wish we could have more teamplay, but you just keep calling me a moron when I tried to be friendly so I just don't talk to you. You should take it easy on calling everyone like shit and my guess is people AND MODS are gonna be more "gentle" with you and less irritated, with less warns, less mutes and less kicks. I think I told you this before, perhaps with different wording, but the message is the same. You are a great Rene player, and when you are on your good side, it makes the game much more challenging and enjoyable, whether I'm on your team or the other. People look up to you because of that. But when people do that, and when you are on your bad side, you are sort of making yourself an anti-leader kind of figure. Now, you don't own anyone anything, but it's the quantity that matters. It really puts the team morale down when hearing "cancer team", "morons" etc. from a figure like you when things don't go as you expect. 80% it's not even the team's fault, and even if it is, calling such names is uncalled for. I think that if you'll be able to balance it more to the positive sides, things will go much smoother in all other aspects as well, both for you and the staff here. But it is up to you if you want to. Mods do receive complaints from other players about 1, 2 or 3 toxic players. Sure, these players should develop some skin, but there is a limit to what they are willing to stand in a 20+ y.o. video game where we are all adults, and it's supposed to be fun. The other side would be people giving up on Ren, and we don't want that to happen. 2. However, I'd like to point out that, unlike you, I do record 75-90% of times except when my hard drive gets too full. I did reach out to you to sort things in a nice way so we could start fresh and you lied about not having any authority, instead you abused polls that same night against your own mod guidance. None of the issues I raised have been refuted btw. There was a time I was muted, shunned from !stucking (and !squading)... the whole 9 yards - so what did you end up doing to prevent me from winning games on top of that? You put plastic bullets on me (aka not being able to damage). Moreover, there's a long history of evidence piling up against you for abusing trigger bot - some videos alone are sufficient to prove that. If you're bringing up my so-called long standing history of insults, we should probably bring up your long standing history of cheating too. For a while I believed you were no longer cheating, mainly because Broly was beating you various times 1v1 when you set up the RC sniper server, but I can see when things are not going your way, you whip out the old TB and suddenly begin rampage killing. The right thing you should have done once you glitched to the top of that wall is to get killed by ob or by !killme or something like that, and not taking advantage of the bug to kill the Ref. The match being already lost has nothing to do with it: it's not an excuse to gain any unfair advantage, hence it doesn't mean mods should ignore such attempts.

It wasn't the best judgment call. I don't know if Gozy shared this with you, but if he didn't here it is. Looking back I agree that a !km would've been better. 1

There was a time I was muted, shunned from !stucking (and !squading)... the whole 9 yards - so what did you end up doing to prevent me from winning games on top of that? You put plastic bullets on me (aka not being able to damage). Moreover, there's a long history of evidence piling up against you for abusing trigger bot - some videos alone are sufficient to prove that. If you're bringing up my so-called long standing history of insults, we should probably bring up your long standing history of cheating too. For a while I believed you were no longer cheating, mainly because Broly was beating you various times 1v1 when you set up the RC sniper server, but I can see when things are not going your way, you whip out the old TB and suddenly begin rampage killing. The point is the incident that triggered the mute (aka calling someone unimportant) is so far beyond stupid that many see it as completely invalid—especially knowing it came from someone like Daduke, who’s infatuated with me and will most likely continue trash-talking in-game, along with that stupid sound continuing to play (which needs to be removed). Ever since the MPF days, his whole goal has been to make a name for himself at my expense, so perhaps I indeed hit a chord when I called him that. I’d ask for any additional evidence where I used !stuck to kill a building or anything similar, but I doubt you’d be able to provide one. You’re acting like I’m a regular glitcher, when I’m one of the few who actually cares a lot about fair and square matches. As for the other incidents I presented, these were all poor judgment calls, and no actions will be taken aside from "internal discussions" that never lead to any real change. You want all the apologies in the world and you offer none. At least props to some mods for being honest, there have been cases of mods wanting to make peace in the past, mud, manuel, etc. and I would apologize back to them to start over fresh. If this post served any purpose it was at least for people to get a glimpse of how far you guys were taking your personal vendettas, and I'm also grateful some of you actually agreed on a few key points I raised. At this point, I’ll honestly just wait for Daduke to permaban me—or maybe for Exeric can put me on plastic bullets again. 1

I then told them i would focus on chat for a while (ended up being 3 games). 3. You simply wouldn't stop, people litterally said "I am leaving until this toxic person is gone or muted". Now i DON'T give a damm shit about you and your GOD fantasy, or you saying REKT BITCH, SIT DOWN, STAY DEAD, stuff. It is okay to be mentally 5 years old. BUT, doing it over and over again making people leave the server with the reason that it is you, that made them leave by what you kept telling towards them over and over again, is what made me !mute you after the 3rd game. That guy who left at field, saying "i will leave until he (ILL) is gone", rejoined 3 games later, you instantly /name GET REKT BITCH, when he joined. That was enough for me for that moment. Like SolidGold i have brothers and sisters, we were with a lot at home and beat each other up to the point we came into the hospital with broken bones or with a concussion. We said things, that goes beyond your GOD imagination. After the mute, you obviously left the game, not like AprilWar asking what the mute was for, no you had to go on IRC/Discord and had to say !msg "GET REKT, WHILE RIDING MY DICK". To that point by the way, i don't know what you want from me, but i am into woman, so my suggestion is that you find a boyfriend near your home town to let him do that if you are into that stuff. 1.5 days later, i send you a PM, i could just post the screenshot here if needed, but i will try to keep it short. Saying that i would unmute you, but you would have to stop picking on players that you just killed etc. (meaning if you say something 1 time or 2 times i don't care, but non stop like you always do, making them leave, is when i care). i also asked you to "lower" your toxic talks in game. meaning you don't have to stop entirely being a troll, just to lower your temper. So be it and so you shall live with the consequences. About AprilWar, i like AprilWar and i find him a very good player, amongst some logs i really wonder why he got the mute. But i also already mentioned that i haven't been around before past year. So i don't know what the heck happened all the time. All i know is when i play with AprilWar i don't see him ever say something worthy to kick/mute him for. I say similar words at moments, who cares. As long as it won't be homophobic/racist/sickness words all the time. I watched AprilWar his streams from 3 years ago to now, and i have seen him using !stuck command but that was from before i returned to Renegade even, so + 1 years. As already stated by someone, the only thing AprilWar could do right is to walk back get killed by ob, or return back over that wall to try another wall hop with the SBH. That video of trunksgb, when i first saw it i was very dissapointed, as i loved to watch AprilWar destroy buildings the way he does. But now i doubt it again, since April says there was a GDI sbh. Just like that death evade of ILL where i can't prove if he really left because he had to go, or just left because he was about to die, you can't say if there was a SBH that helped him hop over which made him stuck, there for using the !stuck command flying sky high. He as said, could have avoided going into the ref afterwards. What MarcPoulet pm'd me, lol at the time i didn't even know what it meant, thought he was joking about how you play or something.. couldn't make anything useful out of it, probably because it was 4:00 am too. Would i have done anything with it.. nah, probably ignore it anyways. Don't know if it was intentional, was it @MarcPoulet ?
