TL;DR Summary

GDI cannot kill redpillar. I showed up, distracted him causing him to finally die. I get banned for TH.

If your takeaway after watching this whole stream is that I am a team hamperer and deserve a week-long / perma-ban, I'm sorry - you outright need brain surgery and perhaps you need to stop playing this game.

If you DID NOT watch the whole stream, then you're not doing your job. Period.

To preface, the vid is from 3 days ago and everybody is focusing on a few seconds out of hours of gameplay. Great fucking detective job, your family would be proud.

The claim is that I constantly ignored redpillar.

In the Mesa match, I spent all game trying to save GDI from certain defeat. Killing redpillar or any sniper for that matter is NOT the best use of my time as GDI in this match. You said multiple times you cannot enforce how people decide to play.

Now, by the time we lost AGT it's pretty much fucking GG. If you expect me to do something heroic, then you're nuts.

So after that, I decided to fool around instead (instead of going AFK like many others, including mods here would have):

1) I proceeded to distract redpillar and mess around with him BECAUSE MY TEAM COULD NOT KILL HIM THE ENTIRE MATCH (find the time stamp yourselves).

2) I genuinely missed the first ramjet shot and then the c4 as I came back to get him from behind. Fucking hell he even took some damage from my pistol.

3) He clearly saw I was fooling around and he ignored me. As a result of these distractions, he died shortly after. End of story. Simple.

You have more matches in this stream like the capture the node and field 3 maps. I'm engaging him in all of them, we're killing each other back and forth.

Unlike many other actual team hamperers, these are not chronic griefing instances that severely affect match outcomes. Like the other day when I got a 24-hr kick for standing in front of MCT when a game was completely lost already. Ridiculous.

I was going to ask you how you define TH and how could that ever possibly fit this Mesa scenario, or why do you even listen to haters. But before that, I have 3 genuine questions for staff that participated in this. These are honest questions because I did try giving you a chance and all that, but I'm still unable to understand.

1) When will you fucking grow up?

2) Who hurt you so bad?

3) What are you trying to compensate for?

Also, I find it fucking hilarious that If I were to show you vids with time stamps of other people ignoring me while IG you would not apply the same standards or ban them.

The problem is that this isn't the first time that you've ignored your enemies. This goes back 3+ years now.

And about mesa, you could've easily killed redpillar but u chose to let redpillar rape your teammates instead, lol.

Well, excuse me for not going AFK as soon as we lost AGT as you would've done like 99% of the time.

What do you mean I could've easily killed redpillar? HAHAHA I was in a vehicle most of the game. I kept asking them to get tanks - they chose to get raped themselves by getting infantry and trying to kill him. They even chose to FUCKING GUNNER RUSH when I expressly warned them against him. How the fuck is that TH? Unless you argue I should've sniped him earlier, but you can't have your cake and eat it too - you can't tell people how to play.

It's not complicated: would redpillar have died if I had not showed up? The answer is most likely no. No team hampering here.

This is what I was shown so this is what I'm arguing against; but sure, provide the other videos. Maybe you can add a few extra bans to other people showing up on those vids. Make sure the videos are uniquely TH that no one else do though (not even mods), because at that point all I have to do is show videos of any players ignoring each other so they get banned as well.

I am having trouble discerning the claim of TH here, and it may be due to my not having all the facts. But from what I read here April got banned for TH because he did not kill Redpillar. Is this task uniquely assigned to April? I know he certainly could kill him, but I don't see that rising to the level of TH if he does not. Can't we all take our own course of action to determine the best way to win, given it is an action of some kind toward that goal? And yes in some games we all know the point of battle is lost, your team is going to lose. So that that point I think we can all recognize the futility of fighting (though personally I like to fight to the end, knowing it is coming).

I have played many games where I know there is an immediate risk to the team that I could help alleviate, but still took other action because I was simply hopeful to do good with that other action. In other words I took a gamble that it would pay off. Sometimes you have to let the rest of the team fight the fight while you try "plan B".

I think we are going pretty far off base for TH by banning people for not playing how we want or expect them to. TH to me is ACTIVELY performing some action that is directly detrimental to the team.  I don't think because April might be the best counter sniper that he is bound to snipe or else be accused of TH.  In that line of reasoning the best tankers should never do anything but tank, etc. 

I think we all should be allowed to play how we see fit, provided it is not a DIRECT IMPEDIMENT to the team. And in that regard I have seen April be much more diverse in the last year orso, using tanks and even being the hated SBH.

Please fill me in on what I am missing, if anything.

Here is an example from 3 years ago. (it was dealt with at that time ofc)

 

 

There was also this 1 time which I remember both April and redpillar were in tunnels on field and they walked past each other which led to april destroying building.

If we can all play fairly then there won't be any issues. I told April via pm earlier (dunno if he saw it) that I don't want to have beef with anyone including him. We had our differences in the past but thats all behind us.

For the most part April does play the game the right way (but he does bitch at his teammates if they suck and eventually swaps teams xD)

 

Anyways, both are unbanned and can play again.
