Fardin Posted Friday at 09:09 PM Posted Friday at 09:09 PM Hey guys I'm really sorry, if this is in the wrong forum section, but I figured this would be the best place to post this. I have been very reluctant to "upgrade" into Windows 11, since I fear that some of my installed games (most importantly Renegade obviously) wouldn't work anymore. But with the death of windows 10 being imminent, I figured sooner or later, that I should address this issue. What are your experiences with Windows 11s compatibility with Steam/Origin and C&C games, most importantly Renegade? Does it work without issues? Are files, patches and applications etc. removed and you have to go through the trouble of setting everything up again? I mostly play Renegade, Generals, and other C&Cs or Dune 2000... mostly older stuff. And I still use Renlist to access the servers. I'm sorry, if this seems like a trivial issue. I am not the most tech savvy, and would hate having to deal with lots of problems due to this forced upgrade... Looking forward to some of your guys experiences and comments in this regard. Best, Fardin

Developer ExEric3 Posted yesterday at 04:45 AM Developer Posted yesterday at 04:45 AM Since W11 require modern hardware a lot computers will stuck with W10. Thats reason why in EU users with MS account will get another year of updates. 1
Goztow Posted yesterday at 06:30 AM Posted yesterday at 06:30 AM I'm on win 11 since a long time and I can play Ren and other c&c games via steam without a problem. I haven't tried generals but I suppose it would work as well. I don't know if u have to setup your game again after upgrading. 1 1
P4LDK Posted yesterday at 06:36 AM Posted yesterday at 06:36 AM 1. Go to Microsoft’s official page: https://aka.ms/GetPCHealthCheckApp 2. Download and install the PC Health Check app 3. Open it and click “Check now” under the Windows 11 section It will instantly tell you one of these: This PC meets Windows 11 requirements This PC doesn’t currently meet Windows 11 requirements (and why — e.g. no TPM 2.0, unsupported CPU, or Secure Boot off) 1

Same here been on Windows 11 for about 2 years now, no issues installing or playing ren on Steam version. I use my Renegade server Viewer website to see all available servers and join from there https://booyahh.com 1 1
Developer ExEric3 Posted yesterday at 07:19 AM Developer Posted yesterday at 07:19 AM AI answer: With older games you should stay with W10. It will runs another 3 - 5 years untill Mozilla/Google and Steam will totally drop out support for it and there is still LTSC/LTSB variants. When was firstly W10 released MS said its latest OS with support untill to 2029 or 2030. If you have modern PC check compatibility over that app above and if it will pass go for it. You shouldnt have issues with renegade under W11 and if you would have something contact us. 1

ChromiumFaze Posted yesterday at 02:34 PM Posted yesterday at 02:34 PM I'm a new player and Renegade has worked just fine for me on Win11. I've been using a pirated version but I don't think that makes any difference 1
faction Posted yesterday at 07:51 PM Posted yesterday at 07:51 PM I've been playing Renegade and RA2 with Steam on Win 11 since I came back in March and have had no issues. 1
