Server PC changes 2025

Kind of forgot to mention things here, but there were some good deals on OVH and too hard pass them up. Going to cancel the yearly payments on the ark/ren on Dec 9th.

Renegade: most of the new server is already setup, I'm just waiting to kick these guys out tonight and turn things off on the old, start up the new. It's new info/IP: 51.222.10.72

 

Ark is mostly setup and running fine. It's new info/IP: 146.59.52.3

 

This next one depends on @DrSithis/root. It'll be the Minecraft pc if he's able to set it up. If it goes beyond December 2nd/3rd, then it's either going to get extended if he still wants to do it, otherwise I will turn that into a Terraria replacement(same exact specs, but $66/yr less).

Will a new donation goal be started anytime soon @shaitan? The current one has been running a long time and is exceeded, I think with a fresh goal for 2026 expenses, people (including myself) would chip in around the holidays...

Alright, so we have a pretty good update on the one PC: The minecraft PC is mostly setup, by @Unstoppable. You may know him as the Renegade Developer from TT, W3D, and from MPF. He's got a lot of things working and ported over. Which, looks like it'll make our jobs easier(since Joe and I can only muddle through Linux stuff). So, be sure to give UnStoppable a thanks in the future for busting ass on short notice!

It also hosts our main hub for our IRC. Most of your games in RC are run by bots, which, are hosted on IRC that you/they use.

 

Speaking of IRC, our @raven may be getting that setup for us. Hopefully he is able to pull it off, otherwise I'll have to break things to make it work. xD

 

There's another update of sorts: I have a support ticket in with OVH because they decided to charge us $650 for that server I had already changed to monthly.
