"Stray bullet" really describes it so well xD

I think spam radio commands is only justified when you see a rush incoming and can't type, because u are in a med or whatever. Or you see a enemy inside the building.

 

Or spamming "take the point". This is a general cnc renegade war cry xD

For years I thought "take the point" meant "oy! do what I just said!"

It's only in recent years whilst discussing radio commands I've been told it means something like "proceed to that strategic point on the map" or "take the lead"
I think it's kinda redundant given that we have the "move out" command though. Same goes for "fall back" since we have "take cover" and  "return to base".

"Take the point" is for when you start a game and want to tell everybody "do your thing", ... thats one example. Or when you want to repair a tank and enter the vehicle, then you say "take the point" = means "I gotchu Covered with repairs" Or "Let's do this". I remember back in the day, it was some sort of high respect when some is near you and you do something. It's like "you take the lead" "good plan let's go" "I agree"...

Then again "move out" can mean "keep continueing the attack, the rush, fan out" - something like a motivational thing to go forward.

"Fall back" is more likely in a Situation where you see a overwhelming enemy and you are outnumbered or not geared up enough. Means "let's go back and gear up" or a warning like when you want to rush with a horde of stanks and don't want to get spotted by a random enemy.

I usually say "take the point" to a teammate for them to take the lead and i'd follow, like in the tuns or anywhere, and "move out" is more for everyone in a rush for example. "Fall back" I tend to use more in rushes to get away from an enemy quickly or to alert teammates to fall back if we're stealth rushing and there's an enemy approaching, and "take cover" I use if I want my teammate to get healed up without getting damaged anymore but not go completely back to base, otherwise i'd use "return to base" :p

 

and yes I spam "watch where you're pointing that" anytime a teammate shoots at me :p

i think you are old player... but even if you're not... you're one of the best and smartest RenCorner players...

There are many ways i can trick the enemy team's players... and beat them and collect points... because i learned how to play and reach the level I'm at now by playing on RenCorner server for four years... In just four years of playing with people, i learned a lot... and now i can win even if I'm playing alone against two people... and there are many games where I've won alone against two people... and there are two videos on my live stream channel where i play against two people and beat them...

About this: I do spam it and I will keep constantly doing it until the very last day of Renegade.

And there's a reason for it: Usually the spamming is not about a "stray bullet", which is when I just taunt that x1 time (a good example is when a Chem/LCG dude heads over BAR tunnel in Field, shoots it and that's about it - it's not a death sentence for the building so it won't desperately require everyone to go there), but when there's a clear risk. When EVA says it is at 50% or below, I spam it not because "no one can see EVA announcing", but to call everyone's attention to the matter.

So when I'm doing that, it's to call most of the team's attention - "HEY, STOP WHATEVER THE FUCK YOU'RE DOING AND HELP US TO REPAIR!", at the point where there's a chance of losing it. I have to spam it because many times ppl aren't doing anything at all and doing that wakes them up quickly.

In 80% of the times it works, and we save the building by a pixel.

I spam it and will always continue to spam it. Spamming it tends to get more people to listen. More people who listen the better the chance of winning. When you spam it lets people know there is serious trouble. Everyone is different. Some people are okay with one. I am not personally. When its spammed I know I need to do something.

You guys are missing the point- this meme is aimed at those who Ctrl+1 as soon as EVA announces any damage... even the inconsequential damage (like the Chem/LCG example Xtreemo gives)

I actually agree with using the Building needs repair command when things are getting bad like you say. It does give that sense of "wow a serious risk is happening right now guys".

It's the people who spam the command: the type of people who press it as soon as a stray bullet hits it down to 99% that I'm saying need to calm down lol
