It was either Mesa, or Under (I have a vague recollection of running someone over in a stank).

Renegade was the first online multiplayer game I played and effectively introduced me to the concept of PC gaming, and thus by extension PC hardware, and was probably part of what set off a chain of events that led me down the career path I have now as an adult.

Oh, that would be C&C_Under, and that happened in mid-February 2002, in the multiplayer demo for C&C Renegade, about a week before the full game was released... Under was the ONLY map in the demo.  I must have played it at least 30 times in a row, enough for a lifetime really.

probably Under on jelly, but i can't remember 100%.

Various nicknamens, like gigiobis, crazyshooter and a couple more.

Also a permaban for RGH! so stupid 20 years ago.

Same, I played the demo first. But I'm not sure whether I played it before the full game launch. I probably got the demo from a CD attached to a local gaming magazine I was subscribed to. I'm not sure that I could even download the demo, we didn't have ADSL at that time. Anyway I remember there were plenty of servers dedicated to the demo, even after I bought the full game I checked from time to time the demo versions, and it had plenty of players.
