brookesxx Posted Friday at 04:13 PM Posted Friday at 04:13 PM Like the improve layout - mentioning not enough votes yet and clearer text. Could I suggest also putting instructions e.g. press Page Up or Page Down to vote Yes/No somewhere. Or even just type !Vote Yes etc. I don’t think all players know how to vote. So an extra line may help. thanks for keeping the game alive. 1
Developer ExEric3 Posted Friday at 05:46 PM Developer Posted Friday at 05:46 PM Keybinds can be modified so its user setting. How to vote is displayed in a chat. <RCAOW> Host: [RC] A poll has just started to add time limit for the current map. You have 30 seconds to vote "!yes" or "!no".
iK4l3l Posted Friday at 08:21 PM Posted Friday at 08:21 PM great improvement.. another suggestion, need 60% voting for poll to be counted, can we add the percentage of total votes (yes and no), so we can see how close we are to %60 voting?

Xylaquin Posted yesterday at 07:51 AM Posted yesterday at 07:51 AM I don't think it's a case of people don't know how to vote, it's hard to miss the poll box! But the 60% requirement to pass, and the lack of enforcement to vote has created a culture where people spam DO NOT VOTE in the chat feed when they want the result to be no. Proposed system: For the first 20 seconds, the poll mechanism should remain as it is. But if after 20 seconds a player still hasn't cast a vote, force them to in the last 10 seconds. If a player ignores the forced vote, kick them. We need to appreciate that some players can't immediately vote because they're in the middle of a fight, planting a beacon, rushing into a building or doing something that they need to prioritise. That's why immediately forcing a vote for everyone is a bad idea. However the above system, which only forces it on people who haven't voted after 20 seconds, ensures that players who are genuinely busy can finish what they're doing, and ensures that everyone votes so that a conclusive result is always achieved.
MarcPoulet Posted 21 hours ago Posted 21 hours ago That's an idea but I can hear Solidgold 500 miles from here yelling about the forces vote because ge didn't notice or cared about Fr3nzy 10th poll to remove the timer

They had 20 seconds to vote, if they can't get a split second in that time then they're forced. And if they don't vote in the forced, then that means they're either AFK or being uncooperative. Kicking people that don't vote even when forced would purge the server of AFKers and pests. 7 hours ago, MarcPoulet said: That's an idea but I can hear Solidgold 500 miles from here yelling about the forces vote because ge didn't notice or cared about Fr3nzy 10th poll to remove the timer lol, that's another benefit of my proposition: by ensuring everyone votes the vote is conclusive, the playerbase has spoken, so Fr3nzy will have to put up with whatever the result is.
Goztow Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago We already have a force vote which pauzes the game and enforces the result of a vote. This seems a more appropriate way of forcing people to vote than getting rid of our player base. 2
