Vote to mute

I don't suppose RenCorner would consider adding a new feature to the voting system:

!vote start mute ILL

It would prevent the player from using chat for a set time, and the affected player can't cry mod abuse since it's their fellow players who voted for it.

other than muting someone, it would be nice letting players mute any player individually

such as if i dont want to see chat of a player, i mute him but other ppl can still see his chat so he is only mute for me

Did you even checked avaiable poll types over !votehelp command? We are constantly trying adding new feautures and improve our servers.

Thats also possible to block specific player from typing just pms globally or to specific targets. If you have someone who is harassing you feel free contact RC Moderators with logs/screenshots/videos. Giving this ability to the players will cause only chaos and dramas. Thats reason why we have there RC Staff members which can handle it per requests.

This, when someone is being an ass over pm to me. I let Manuel usually know or eric, and they handle that stuff. 👍🏼

I think this would be great.

I have zero interest in reading the tears of the likes of NobodyCares and the crap OctoberWar spews all game.

If we could have a client side blacklist to just block out those individuals, would be amazing - but most likely a TT level change required.

We need an option to !vote freeze <playername>, so we can immobilize the bad players like xyla, who are not very good in tanks OR sniping, so they contribute nothing material to help their team win, they are dead weight players that burden and often block the better players

Having them frozen in our base would actually give us a chance to win more maps, so its for the betterment of the whole team

You're a great player ILL, but the constant gloating, claiming your joining causes the team to win and general trash-talking becomes tiresome... and I say that as someone on the same team as you.

It shouldn’t be a server thing. It should be a TT patch thing. Add an option that puts players on the ‘sh*tlist’ (ignore list). 
 

Or an option that allows you to turn chat on or off. F2 chat has been toxic since start. F3 chat can be important still, but would love a option to turn either one ‘On or Off’. As well as Audio command text. 
 

You don’t need to mute anyone, everyone has their own preference on what options they want to have On or Off. 
 

I for one get f*cking distracted by the chatbox. Not so much the toxic stuff, the chat itself. It aint even renegade related “i ordered 5 x pizza today”. “YOU’RE ARE SO FAT IF YOU WALK IN FRONT OF THE TV, WE MISSED A WHOLE SEASON”.

How would you coordinate/join in with the team's plans though?

I've long advocated that RenCorner needs to massively trim down what gets shown in the chat feed (see signature) or even segregate the kill feed from it. Once you've done that, if there are people constantly talking nonsense on the server we now know there's an option to shut them up. Or at the very least, as Eric points out, just contact the mods... it's their job to moderate after all.

It was discussed multiple times. If you wanna have control over it contact TT devs/use their bug tracker and request there new feauture. And now my question would be.. who will be at your personal blocked list? In my case just OctoberWar and ILL. So its really needed implement it? Or your list is much bigger? Im just curious.

I mean if you can put F2 chat off most toxic shit happens there. But have to talk with TT to make it an option. People could do with teamchat too if they want. But F3 is usefull for ‘nuke/ion whereabouts, inc. rushes etc’. 
 

F2 would be a relief to put on/off though. If i want to talk to a specific person i can always pm the guy.
