Huge PROBLEM!!

Hey guys I have a problem a big on .

Well yesterday my computer broke then I had to reinstall everything including renegade

When the installation completed as well as the scripts

I clicked on the game which instead of turning on it gave a message " band test missing and blah blah blah"

It never happened before.

Plzzz help

Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa this problemo is fixed but another has rised

When I open my renegade application the renegade config boots up

Then when I click okay to they settings nothing happens again I click renegade then the same happens config opens

Helpppppp I can't live without renegadeee

I downloaded renlist and got the servers but when I tried to connect the renegade config comes up again

Now what do I do?

Make sure that the renegade executable setting is set to game2.exe:

However, be sure to check for updates to 4.0 regularly, otherwise you won't be able to join servers with newer releases than whatever you're running.

If you still can't get past the config window, a clean install is probably the easiest thing to do, uninstall and then reinstall renegade from whatever you use, then download and install the latest scripts 4.0 release, don't install cp2 or anything else.

Hey billie could u guide me to that renegade executable setting I didn't understand that.

And btw I reinstalled the game many times now the problem is still the game won't turn on because it can't go through the config

Make sure the pathways in Regedit are correct. 4.0 has a nasty habit of using two different ones.

Accuatly the main cable which is connected to my monitor and the other end to the desktop

That cable I sometimes attach it to a system which turns into a tv

So basically I'm saying that the same cable I'm using for computer , I'm using it for the tv

Kk.. ive had as much errors on renegade than ull beleive.. ive reinstalled it more times than ull believe.. what ur problem was there.. is ur video card or gfx card w.e is not showing.. either not identified or u dont have 1.. its starting up the config because theres something wrong.. renegade will not work if the gfx card/video card and audio devices are identified.. try use pc wizard 2011 or something like that and install the right service packs and devices from microsoft or something.. but yeah ur main problem there is that ur drivers are not showing.

if u done all that and its still not working but u know for sure u got all drivers working, then id consider reinstalling.

Yes I was thinking about this and I guess the problem is the graphic card is not being recognised properly
