Edited to define the list of allowed vehicles for e+fire rule:

• No more of the jumping out of your vehicle and firing trick(E at the same time as firing for a double shot(tank + Rail/Pic = illegal)). APC/Buggy/Humvee/Tow-Humvee/Flying units/SSM/Recon/Chameleon/Flamers/MRLS are allowed!

If it is not in the allowed list, it is not allowed. If there are new/old maps with different vehicles; they'll be added/removed as needed(ex: EVOS maps...idk all of the preset names atm).

Question about this rule: When you read this rule in the 1st post, it says you can get APC/etc and rail/pic but ONLY against at infantry is allowed. Is this a mistake because we all see people do this to shoot against tanks too...(please see screenshot)

 

PLUS can we add something about "flaming vehicules". It came yesterday with someone rushing his tank full of remotes...

I guess shaitan's wording is confusing to understand. But APCS/ Buggys/ etc + rail/pic is allowed. Its the Double shoooting like Arties/meds/lights + rail/pic that isnt allowed.

 

As for for flaming vehicles, we have the rule there. You can only put remotes on your vehicle if SBH/enemy steals it. Not allowed to spam remotes and rush to enemy and destroy it.

What are the rules about shooting the WF bay glass?

Putting your barrel inside the WF and shoot is a glitch - that we can all agree. What about shooting the glass from the outside?

Shooting the window inside wf bay from outside the wf is not allowed?  This is considered glitching?  Just out of curiosity, if I drive an APC into wf bay and start shooting at someone inside through window, will they die?

Just so I'm clear and not breaking any rules, is there any other place that I'm not allowed to aim my tank at and shoot?  HON window?

This rule is mainly for Tanks and NOT APC/buggy/humvee. Also, APC/buggy/humvee cant kill someone thru window.

I can't shoot at WF glass with arty which would kill any techs inside repping with splash damage but I can shoot HON through the middle window (aiming at the inside, above the MCT) which would kill techs due to splash?

 

Also, obelisk walking, I see that daily by a lot of players with no one ever saying anything.

Exactly....never heard of this rule in my 20 years renecareer, but the HON scenario is the same and it is allowed

It's a very old rule in public servers. I think it was the same on jelly and other popular servers.

I have a question about the rule: "no tank + rave". In my comprehension, this rule was made to avoid the "double damage" : damage from light shot + damage from rave. During tonight's walls flying game (3v3) we came in a situation where gdi had an orca, so 2 of our Nod team got a rave. We killed the orca but then I had that rave... so I bought a light tank. I did use it to fight orca's, but without the "double damage" as it is very hard to hit orca's with a light. IMO it is not any different in that situation than using a sakura + light tank. However, someone noted - correctly - that I wasn't following the rules, for which I apologize by the way. The orca killed me as well ;-).

Is it correct that one cannot use rave and return in a light tank at all, even if the light tank isn't used to do damage immediately after the rave shot?

I must admit I have been using light + rave in a similar way: light shoots enemy, rave gets out and shoots enemy and reloads and then gets back in light. I will refrain from this as I also realize it is very hard to tell if used "correctly" or as "double damage".

Can this be clarified? I also must admit that this rule may need to be re-written. What is allowed in apc/buggy/... ? rave + apc allowed?

No jumping out of tanks and firing with pic/rail against vehicles. E + tank + Rail/Pic = illegal. APC/Buggy/Humvee/Tow-Humvee/Flying units/SSM/Recon/Chameleon/Flamers/MRLS/against infantry are allowed! Stanks are in the banned list at this time.

If you're inside of a tank with a railgun/pic, and you jump out to shoot the rail plus firing E(for the tank shot); then that rule applies to you. The double shot is what that's all about.

If you're a rail/pic inside a tank; you're better off not hopping in and out, as it'll look like you're doing it. After this long of a rule, people will be on your ass in the game.

It has been rewritten over the years, but everyone thinks we can place 500 characters explaining it inside the game. Hence, the way it's written for brenbot(then copy/pasted here).

06-24-2024: Starting now, all homophobia is effectively banned in Rencorner. Everyone will have a week or two to adjust(mod reminders) after that we start the mutes.

 

We'll see how this goes. No more "fag/faggots" or other homophobia in the Renegade servers.

Moderators: I expect some reminders for a week or two(unless they're blatantly flouting the new rule change and being asses), after that you can mute people. Mainly, because this is a drastic rule change after 12 years of allowing it.
