BiLLaBoNg Posted February 20, 2013 Posted February 20, 2013 No idea haha Vancouver? Alberta? o.O I miss windows 7... Never get 8, sucks
Macaronii Posted February 20, 2013 Posted February 20, 2013 Im pretty sure that would be more near the Northwest territories or somewhere near Calgary, Jasper!(in Alberta)
Volcom Posted February 20, 2013 Posted February 20, 2013 That would be the Territory of Yukon. Looks like its by Whitehorse. The Yukon is right beside Alaska and is absolutely beautiful. Water is like crystal clear and there are mountains everywhere. There's another.
WNxM45T3R Posted February 21, 2013 Posted February 21, 2013 That`s the northern lights and can only be seen from Antarctica, South America, New Zealand, and Australia More info here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aurora_(astronomy) Hope this helps?
BillieJoe67 Posted February 21, 2013 Posted February 21, 2013 Why can the northern light only be seen in the southern hemisphere? The northern lights can be seen anywhere in the Arctic, northern Canada, Alaska and occasionally in Greenland as far as I can remember.
WNxM45T3R Posted February 21, 2013 Posted February 21, 2013 Hmm yeah I re-read it and seems I`m mistaken (sorry i`m tired) and It seems they are seen mainly in country`s surrounding both the Arctic and Antarctic circle. Apparently the best place to see them is the Scandinavian country's, especially Norway. Unless im still wrong, in that case i give up lol
StJohn Gumby Posted February 21, 2013 Posted February 21, 2013 Guys, both the Aurora Australis and Aurora Borealis are visible in the Southern and Northern Hemisphere respectively mainly near to the polar regions. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aurora_(astronomy) Personally, I think the best time to see the Northern Lights was 1978 Yeah, I really am that old. 16 that year as I recall. Going back to Wyld's original post, I thought it was River_Canyon.mix? Gumby
