Spencer Posted January 14, 2014 Posted January 14, 2014 I would like to use this thread as inspiration for unique or great ideas to implement into my own game. I am quite keen to keep the game genre FPS, but that doesn't mean we can't think outside the box. I'll start... Map/Level/World is inside a confined space. A cube or oblong. The Cube then rotates, possibly at different speeds and different angles, or maybe a static angle and constant speed. The impact of this means that characters and objects react to the physical change to the enviroment... The maps would have to be extremely well thought out to be enjoyable, but it would certainly add some depth tot he gameplay.
BillieJoe67 Posted January 14, 2014 Posted January 14, 2014 -waves of enemy entities (each wave has more enemies/harder to defeat/complete) -areas of the map only unlock after certain achievements have been completed (similar to Nazi Zombies I guess) I like your idea about a dynamic environment, reminds me of the arena in the second Hunger Games book 1
CerealKlr Posted January 21, 2014 Posted January 21, 2014 I'm not grasping the concept. Do you mean similar to Mario 3d world where you are able to play upside down? This could be interesting for a space station concept, or underwater "Finding Nemo Shooter" Your the Octopus that hides in his underwater environment waiting to snipe(ink) the lil colorful kid fish that swim by. So they are camouflaged from the shark thats gonna eat em if you don't camouflage em all in time. School of Shark attackers vs. Octopi defenders. Let the battle of the Coral Reef begin. (I can't wait to eat Nemo) Sorry...umm is that what you meant? 1

Maybe one or two of those areas grants you an AI that helps you continue your mission. And since on your other post, you said something about making this a game in the name of RenCorner, or for RenCorner, I had the idea that maybe to name the AI's after people here. 1
