Random Vehicle Crate Bug

So I was meant to post this a few week ago but it slipped my mind. But basically there is a bug with the vehicle crate when receiving the Surface-to-Surface Launcher as shown:

 

 

I've collected this crate before and received other things such as meds, flamers and lights etc. But they have never killed me upon landing at the spawn location like this has. As you can see the 'Great Fall' isn't justified at all here I remember having around 200hp and then dying instantly at said location.

I didn't. I was teleported back there and then died instantly before the vehicle had even come.

Possibly an RxD bug?

The map was Mesa I recall, sorry forgot to put that in my original post.
