Volcom Posted February 4, 2014 Posted February 4, 2014 Hey guys, I want to get a general idea of who all plays TF2. Please post here if you play and include your steam name. For anyone that hasn't tried it check it out on steam. It is 100% free! Hope to see you guys in game. Also my steam name is Volcom_Ren.
StJohn Gumby Posted February 4, 2014 Posted February 4, 2014 Er, me obviously. Steam ID: Gumby Just under 2,500 hrs logged. I mostly play MvM at the moment with a group of friends. I'm working on persuading them all to come over to Rencorner and register (In fact I think TacoBellChihuahua already did). Also, I've got a backpack full of weapons and items (duplicates) that i'll happily give (not trade) to anyone who wants to get into TF2. For anyone who doesn't know, TF2 is a Class based FPS (so not unlike Renegade) with a variety of game modes (CTF, DM, KOTH, PL, and MvM). Graphics are somewhat cartoony but the actual gameplay is outstanding fun. Like Renegade the gameplay and fun are very much enhanced by teamplay when players communicate and work as a team. Gumby 2
Syndicate Posted February 4, 2014 Posted February 4, 2014 I have it, don't play much as I don't have a server I really like steam: pjhawron
tacobc Posted February 7, 2014 Posted February 7, 2014 I'm a player. Played some hours. Eager to have a server. Steamname: TacoBellChihuahua. Profile: http://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561197960420864/ (Steam login required) ps. what's with all the huge image blocks in the posts? Is that a thing now? I feel old.
tacobc Posted February 7, 2014 Posted February 7, 2014 I thought I'd explain what I hope a Rencorner TF2 server will be. Specifically, an MvM server which can host 6 players. Nowadays there are servers with more than that but most maps were designed for six players. I hope for a server where I meet people who care about the game. Responsive, cooperative with a sense of humour. I am passionate about MvM. I initiate votekicks for people who are idle an entire round. This may sound harsh until it's you who's waiting on autojoin on a full server where your friends are and you can't get in because a non-contributing slacker is bunnyhopping around the server just for the hell of it. I hope to meet people who vocally discuss what class they will play for a mission and who are willing to compromise and play a class that's not their favorite - but one which serves the team for that mission. I hope I find players who realize an MvM server is not meant for crafting. Sure, if we're still waiting for the server to pick up players, do your thing but when it's on, it's on. Same goes for gifting and generating popups on everybdy's screen. I hope to play with people who want to become better players, who choose Advanced every once in a while and who try out new item configurations. Lastly, I hope I won't meet: - People who refuse to take advice. - People who ruin the wave for the rest of the team. - People who go 'Chill Taco, it's just a game.' And the holy trifecta: people who are all of the above. You know. Noobs.
StJohn Gumby Posted February 7, 2014 Posted February 7, 2014 HaHaHa, Taco you crack me up. I can't believe you don't play Renegade it would be so you. I think you're going to fit into this place just fine (along with all the other Dutch lunatics here). Now we need to persuade the other guys like shlaeNg, Sir Pardos, tfolden, Pain, frosty, etc to come join RC P.S. I hate players who type 'brb' at the start of the round after you spent 10 mins helping them get set up Gumby
WNxKenny Posted February 7, 2014 Posted February 7, 2014 I haven't played for a long time but i am going to give it a try with my improved internet. Think my nick is WNxKenny, been ages since i used steam
Arkoonius Posted March 23, 2014 Posted March 23, 2014 Steam Name: Arkoonius Roughly 1500 hours into TF2. Haven't been playing it too much considering those 1500 hours were practically nonstop and now I'm pretty burnt out of the game. I mostly play Soldier and will usually try to Market Gardner someone if I see a chance. 1
