Directions: 1.) Create a “new” topic in Staff Applications>Minecraft, or click on "create new topic" above include your “ingame name” and "Temp Mod" in the subject. Do you meet the minimum requirements? 2.) You must have trusted status and active on the server for 30 or more days. 3.) Are you on Discord and IRC? If you don’t have them here are the links: http://discord.gg/dktEgZN, http://www.mirc.com (We can help you get started, contact a staff member). 4.) Are you 15 yrs or older? (We realize each individual has a different maturity level, get on Discord, and participate, so we can get to know who you are. This may improve your chances of approval.) 5.) We have made a special allowance to the age requirement to include 12 - 14 year olds with the condition that this group will only achieve half mod status and no higher until they reach 15 years of age. 6.) Are you active in the forums? Participation is strongly recommended.. in fact it is mandatory! If you answered “no” to any one of the minimum requirement questions, you don’t qualify and your application will be rejected. Please do not re-apply until you meet the requirements. If you do meet the requirements, proceed to the application below. Copy and paste the application in the body of your topic and answer the questions. Application copy and paste these questions below, and answer them in the body of your new topic. 1.) What is your Primary minecraft in-game name? Do you have more than 1 name? If so, what are they? 2.) Your date of birth and age is? 3.) How long have you been playing on a regular basis in our server? 4.) When did you submit your application for “Trusted?” 5.) Are you an experienced Mod or Admin? Please explain: 7.) Using about 15-20 words, tell us about yourself. 8.) How long have you been playing minecraft? 9.) Have you ever been kicked, banned, or lost your Trusted status? If yes, please explain. 10.) A Rencorner staff position requires a commitment of time and contribution. What time zone do you live in and when would you be available to be online (to do your job). 11.) How would you contribute to making our server a place that players would want to come to and stay? 12.) Do you have anyone on the current staff team of position Mod or higher who has offered to sponsor you? While not a requirement, Having a sponsor can improve the application time and results. 13.) Do you know how to work with Linux command line or the programming language Java? 14.) Do you have experience with plugins? As a temp mod, you are not officially a staff member and have very limited powers. If you are not present for 30 or more days, your application (or your temp mod status) will be rescinded, unless you notify us by making a post. You will have to reapply after that. End of application. Read the server rules below: You are responsible for knowing them! Rencorner Minecraft - Server Rules Global Rules Please speak English in our server. You can apply for “trusted status” after 3 days of joining the server. Respect the community and its players. Hate speech will not be tolerated, including slurs against any race, ethnicity, sexual orientation, group, or individual. Don't flood chat with caps lock turned on. Don't constantly whine and bring a negative vibe to the chat (Nobody wants to play with a complainer). Respect staff decisions and judgements, if you have an issue with a staff member raise it to an admin. Don't attempt to impersonate any staff member. Cursing is allowed as long as it is not personal or directed towards a family member. Cursing in CAPS is prohibited and could lead to a mute Evading a ban is illegal (appeal it if you believe you were wrongly banned). Do not exploit any bugs or glitches. Do not intentionally cause server lag. Do not use a hacked client or any mods that gives you an unfair advantage. Do not spam the chat. Advertising of servers, websites or any type of gaming community is illegal (you will be banned). We don't want to see you asking anyone if they have a server, followed by asking for the server IP address. If you don't want to play here, don't bother coming in. A staff member may ask you to change your name if it is identical to another player or is offensive. Do not attempt to spam /server repeatedly, this applies to any other spammy or abusable command. Treat everyone with respect, and try and be friendly when possible! Use the /ignore feature or report users to a staff member if you have issues, rather than get into an argument with them. Plot Rules Do not build lag machines to cause server lag. Construction of anything sexually suggestive is prohibited. If you give someone permission to build on your plot and they grief it, the problem is yours, we will not be able to do anything about it. SMP Rules Our definition of griefing includes all modifications to ANY structure or blocks that is not your own and without consent in chat by the owner to modify it a certain way. Griefing of any structure built by the staff to serve the community (spawn area, rail system, recreational) is strictly prohibited, if you choose to grief it, you will be removed and/or have your “trusted status” taken away for a period of time. When we discover who was griefing (We have many advanced plugins at our disposal to ensure we catch you), you will have the items you stole removed from your inventory or structure as well as other items you might deem important. Theft is when one player takes any items / property of any other player illegally or without consent in chat by the owner. Log block will be the only valid evidence to determine theft and ownership. Any items found on the ground are up for grabs and belong to whoever picks them up. Attempting to glitch onto the Nether roof or beyond our set world borders is prohibited! SMP - PVP / Mob Arena Rules Purposefully disconnecting or server swapping to avoid being defeated is considered bad conduct and will be punished. The use of action macro key binding such as shift=click or any other similar means to give an unfair advantage is considered bad conduct and will be punished. Modding Rules Legal Mods Include Minimap as long as it doesn't track entities (players, mobs) Optifine Any texture pack that IS NOT x-ray (can see through blocks) Any single player mods that DO NOT affect multiplayer Cape Mods Brightness mods Armor HUD to show durability Potion HUD Macro key binding (except in specific situations stated in these rules) Litematica Illegal mods Flying Jumping more than the normal number of blocks Any mod / texture pack that allows players to see through blocks / find ores Speed hacks Any movement mods (example: Movement+) Any other mod that gives you some unfair advantage/power up/cheat etc. that normal players do not have. Note: It would be impossible for us to list every possible mod in the lists above and keep it continually updated. If you want to use a specific mod that you feel is in a grey area between being legal / illegal, talk to an admin about it before using it and we will let you know our stance on that mod. Please allow a 7- 10 days for your application to be processed by our minecraft staff team, We will discuss your application and vote, a negative majority vote does not necessarily mean you are unacceptable outright, it may mean you haven't met all the qualifications. If your application is rejected please do not reapply for a minimum of 60 days from the time that the application was denied. The staff appreciates your interested in taking the time to apply, please respect this process. Please check back after your topic is posted from time to time, we may have a question and also for the results!
