Vehicle Limit and !tank

Heya,

 

Today i encountered a little bug/problem in this. Was playing Hourglass but the vehicle limit was 9. In hourglass, you normaly have allot of money and this was the case for GDI. Because of GDI have med tanks(which are better) the are automaticly better in fights because the vehicles are limitted... 

 

Could we fix this? maybe put !tank to the same limit(so 1 vehicle limit...)

Well i suppose you are trying to say that vehicle limit should be raised in hourglass because cash is in excess.

Well i think the same way, but if teams are intelligent and skilled they tend to use vehs smartly and negate the effect of veh limit. Todays match we lost was due to that reason, our team bought useless vehs which were not required and whole team suffered. Keep in mind that todays match was 13 vs 13 so veh limt did matter.

Im saying it should be straightened. The !tank command does not have a limit at all. Hourglass is not involved in this. This is happening if theres to many people in the server.

You mean veh bought by !tank isn't included in veh limit?

If so then yeah it must be fixed

I tried to purchase a tank and wouldnt let me because it said the limit was reached. I did !vehlimit and it said 9/8 lmao. did that on 2 maps i believe lol i think this is what he is trying to say about the !tank command

You can go over vehicle limit usually because of the shells. When they are a shell they do not count as part of the vehicle limit, so when you repair them you can have more than the limit.

Thats an unfair advantage you know, an intelligent team can buy 6 meds and make them into shells for massing meds later when needed. It also effects the gameplay, say wf is killed but u still have a large amount of meds/apc in your team. I know you can buy meds but still..........

No, Its not the shells. The limit is capped with the airstrip/wf but if you do !tank you get one delivered. Veh's bought with !tank are not limited.  so if a team has 8 vehs(and air/wf wont produce any) you can still buy them with !tank

i know how to fix this issue when ur team does an rush and fails at it try n kill shells so enemy cnt rep them another way is to play as a team n work as one or just become an better player

i wonder if i get the veh crate that gives me an enemy veh, whos limit does that count against? my teams or the enemies limit?

Shells and !tank ignoring the limit is intentional.

This was not a bug. Back when the server was treated like Marathon, it made the games last longer, which was what we wanted.
