Lundy004 Posted August 2, 2014 Posted August 2, 2014 Luckily, my county is NOT affected (thank god) but I know a lot of people in the Toledo area (and it's not far from me). Guess Lake Erie is too polluted to be used, even after being purified. "Ohio Governor John Kasich has declared a state of emergency and activated the National Guard. .... Lake Erie, which is a source of drinking water for the Toledo water system may have been impacted by a harmful algal bloom (HAB). These organisms are capable of producing a number of toxins that may pose a risk to human and animal health. HABs occur when excess nitrogen and phosphorus are present in lakes and streams. Such nutrients can come from runoff of over-fertilized fields and lawns, from malfunctioning septic systems and from livestock pens." http://www.toledonewsnow.com/story/26178506/breaking-urgent-notice

Lundy004 Posted August 4, 2014 Author Posted August 4, 2014 Went to make a coffee this morning, turned on the faucet, and the water is a little green. Now we're being affected by this.
