Mods and the ability to use their Powers....

I dunno if a few of your Mods either dont have the ability or the interest to follow whats going on while they play. It seems like reporting Players for afk to expect them to be qkicked after a while is useless. Also some specific Mods dont even follow whats going on ingame, f.e. last Map, Glacier, GDI was winning and NOD only hat RF left and a well known douchebag decided its funny to poll to the next map. The Mod ingame which i wont mention inhere now, decided its much more funny to continue sniping instead of stopping the vote. even though the vote failed its pretty annoying if u play a map for a bit of time and then an avialable mod isnt even responding to player requests. Same goes for temping afk players. A mod should atleast be reachable for players whenever a problem occures and not be perm. afk. Its not that big of a deal but i would like to point on that issues as it can end up in players beeing annoyed by incapable mods. Maybe a train in how to *mod* would be helpfull for those who feel talked about now.

yes (well known douchebag) me was the one to poll next map . we was down to repair pad and could see nothing but snipers inc ... and as stated guys was afk .

starting polls is not against rules . so stop crying about it

I do agree about the afk players and even makeing one constant afk player atm as we are trying to ask mod in game to qkick the afk guys and the only atm mod is the afk guy...ik4 constantly afk .

also I think you are the last person to give advice on how to be a mod .

When I !atm'd kalel, he was playing. After the message in #rencorner, newtown did !qkick pintu for afk.

DJ set the tone for this thread. You walked right into it and fed it by throwing douche bag out there. Again. respect is earned when you can rise above petty name calling and contribute for the growth and development of community through intelligent comments. Name calling and crying that folks aren't jumping to your defense does nothing but drag others down to a level you seem overly comfortable with. Buck up and stop being petty.

Fair point ....but as admins you guys carry on the name calling and act in support of the name callers and support the fact that one person calls another a douche bag . then making it ok for any user to name call another .. I mean if the mods can do it then so can the players .

as admins you should be all for making any player or forum user feel welcome no matter how you feel about them ... you are here to serve us not us to serve you .

it's one thing if players are against some one and another when the admins/mods join in and are also against a player ...

call it what you will crying ect.. but the fact is you can or may put me and others of posting in your forums or playing in your server ..

I see nothing wrong with polling gameover on a marathon server; once a team is down to a single building, and the other team starts sniper whoring to get k/d or most kills rec, that's against the purpose of a marathon server, so they're well within their rights to create the vote.

If the administration team disagreed with what I've said, they would have disabled polling gameover

For the 'record' I don't support that kind of crap at all. I know the argument that if I don't condemn it than I am supporting it but I try not to give any credence to it. Usually people that crave attention take whatever they can get. Good or bad.

lol mdk you got told, i'd stop if I was you you're only digging yourself a bigger hole here. I don't see player numbers falling? Majority of the time the player count is higher than jelly, well at least when I join it is.

I do agree with what dj is saying I often see players ingame that have been afk for along time and im not talking 10-15 mins im talking multiple maps and without mentioning names (I'm not posting to point the finger) I have seen mods ingame just walk past them whilst they are standing there and do nothing then it comes to a few maps later and once again theyre still afk usually shooting the PT (Which a lot of us know thats an indication they've gone afk whilst leaving the rep gun pointed at the MCT and have then respawned once being killed to the fire button still being pushed). What i'm trying to say is not all mods are up to the mark when they need to be hence why I made a mod app asking for temp because once again other mods ingame werent doing a thing.

Maybe if the mod team here make a 'Guide' if you will like dj suggested so they are clear on when to use their powers and when not to. I dont know if you already have this in a different section on the forums which we can't see but yeah it wouldn't hurt to.

People are awlays going to whine and complain about the map change if they dont like it, hence the VOTING system if the majority of players dont want to skip then the poll Is in their favour and the map will remain, I don't see the problem on this part?

I hope nobody takes this as a personal attack because it's not, i just think something needs to be done because personally I wouldn't stay in a game when people are breaking rules and mods are doing nothing.

This topic wasnt made by me to attack a Mod in general,was just pointing on something in my eyes can be made better in the future. Even tho if a Team is down to 1 building,the whole other team was fighting at some point of the map to make it happen like it is at this point. sure,sniper whoring is annoying,but all of us do it from time to time,be honest. and you all know that in the end some1 will always be in the team who wont start sniping, instead of this he will try to end it. if u dont like it, fight better in the beginning to not let it happen like this, or just leave till next map. Easy as that, once a team lost half of their buildings Polls should only be allowed after a specific amount of time, like 1 poll each 20 min. maybe would be a good idea, u decide..

I once poll kicked dj, it's the only non-gameover poll I've seen go through on rencorner
