Hey,

So my pup has been vomiting every 30-60 minutes for the last 16 hours. I gave her a 1 gram Sulcrate pill with peanut butter. She held it down for about 6 hours then puked up the peanut butter about 6 hours later. I didn't see the pill though.

She hasn't ate all day, but I have got her to drink water a few times and I think she has been able to keep it down.

Her gums are still pink so she isn't dehydrated as of yet. She has urinated twice and had two bowel movements (both solid). I am getting kind of concerned, I was told she ate a crab apple on her walk yesterday. It was probably the size of a penny. She has been lethargic all day. Uh.. relevant information. She is almost 2 (In September). Old English Bulldog. 50 lbs.

How long should I wait before I get worried? Last time something like this happened I went to an emergency clinic and it cost $700 for an X-Ray and they ended up giving me some pills. The pills which I tried tonight (Sulcrate): But didn't do anything to stop the vomiting.

Please post some advice.

If she is still puking tomorrow I think I have no choice but to go to the Vet.

Crab apples are toxic to a dogs digestive system, My dog was has been in a similar situation I would take your pup the vet just to be on the safe side. Considering it's still young it's better to be safe than sorry.

The apple seeds have arsenic/cyanide in them.  Make sure the vet knows about the seeds, so they can treat her for arsenic poisoning.

Also keep her away from peach, cherry, and apricot pits.

She puked twice yesterday, day before not at all. Seems fine today. Vet couldn't find anything. So I am just waiting it out.

She started puking again this morning so I took her to the vet again. After an X-ray they said there is something in her stomach. Either a toy, a sock or stomach worms. They gave me some medicine to see if whatever it is will break down and pass if not its surgery. For the X-ray and that trip the vet was $500. If she has to have surgery it will be $3000. Hopefully it passes.

I hope everything is going well and your dog dont need the surgery
